Women's Active Fleece Wind Tight

Braving the wind? Put comfort first with our Women's Active Fleece Wind Tight. It offers a soft Merino-blend interior to help keep you warm and dry, while a windproof material goes against the elements to help you stay protected. With a mid-rise waist, drop-in hand pockets, a secure back pocket, and reflective elements, these tights are ready for every windy workout.

Two-Layer Wind-Resistant Construction
Four-way stretch knit fabric puts soft-brushed Merino blend next to skin and recycled synthetic material against the elements to help balance comfort and protection. The interior face runs a brushed Merino-polyester-elastane blend that traps body heat and manages moisture; the exterior face is a windproof recycled nylon overlay that cuts wind chill at the leg's surface. The two fabrics are knit as one piece — no separate shell pulled over a base layer, no bunched layers between them, no cold spots where the wind gets under the outer.
Merino Interior For Warmth & Moisture Management
Soft-brushed Merino blend next to skin (38% Merino Wool in the main body) delivers the natural temperature regulation and odor resistance Merino is known for — the tight stays comfortable across the cold-to-warm swings of a long cold-weather run without the clammy chill a pure synthetic would develop when you stop moving. Merino's natural odor resistance means the tight covers multiple hard-workout days between washes.
Recycled Synthetic Exterior For Wind Protection
Recycled nylon overlay (85% Recycled Nylon, 15% Elastane in the overlay panels) cuts wind at the leg's surface so a 25° headwind doesn't punch through to the skin. The recycled nylon is windproof without being a hardshell — the four-way stretch keeps the fabric moving with the leg instead of billowing or flapping. Recycled content keeps the wind-blocking performance with a lower-impact material choice than virgin nylon.
Mid-Rise Waist
Fitted with a mid-rise waist that sits between a low-rise hip-hugger and a high-rise waistband — the right rise for layering over a base layer or wearing on its own in milder cold. The mid-rise stays put across the full range of running motion without rolling down at the hip or digging in at the rib.
Drop-In Hand Pockets
Drop-in hand pockets at the side seams — a place to warm the hands between intervals, stash a key, or hold a gel on a long run. The pockets lie flat against the leg so they don't bounce or pull the tight out of position when running.
Secure Back Pocket
A secure pocket on the back holds a phone, a card, or a key without the risk of it bouncing out on a stride. Sized to fit a standard smartphone flat against the body — the pocket sits high enough that it doesn't interfere with the running gait.
Reflective Elements For Low-Light Visibility
Reflective elements increase visibility in low-light conditions — early-morning winter runs, sunset commutes, and after-work sessions when the daylight fades. The reflective trim is placed where it catches headlights from multiple angles (calf, lower leg) without breaking the tight's clean silhouette.
Women's-Specific Slim Fit
Our slim fit is intended to follow the contours of the body without excess bulk. Engineered in women's proportions — narrower through the hip and thigh, contoured through the knee, with a four-way stretch that moves with the leg instead of fighting it. Layers cleanly over a base layer bottom or a thermal tight on the coldest days.
Active Cold-Weather Versatility
Built for the cold-weather active uses where wind is the limiting factor — winter running, cold-weather trail running, shoulder-season cycling, Nordic skiing, and cold-morning hiking. The Merino interior handles the sweat and the cold-to-warm swings; the windproof exterior cuts the wind chill; the stretch knit keeps the fabric moving with the leg through every stride.

Washing
Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle. Wash with like colors — the Merino-blend interior benefits from isolated washing to protect the fabric's moisture-management properties and the recycled nylon overlay's wind-blocking performance. Cold water protects the elastane recovery and the Merino fibers. Use a mild, technical wash; avoid fabric softeners (they coat the Merino fibers and reduce the natural moisture management).
Drying
Dry flat. The two-layer construction (brushed Merino interior + recycled nylon overlay) retains its four-way stretch and wind-blocking performance best when laid flat to dry — tumble heat can delaminate the two-layer knit, flatten the brushed interior, and shrink the Merino fibers. Lay flat on a clean towel away from direct heat.
Bleach & Iron
Do not bleach. Cool iron as needed — do not iron decoration. Bleach breaks down Merino wool fibers and degrades the elastane in both the main body and the overlay. Iron only on low heat and only on the non-decorated fabric areas; high heat can scorch the brushed Merino interior and damage the recycled nylon overlay's wind-blocking treatment.
Dry Cleaning
Do not dry clean. The harsh solvents used in commercial dry cleaning strip the natural lanolin from Merino and degrade the recycled nylon overlay's wind-blocking treatment — both of which are core to the fabric's performance.
Storage
Store folded in a dry, breathable space. Merino's natural odor resistance means the same tight covers multiple hard-workout days between washes, which extends the fabric's lifespan. Folded storage preserves the two-layer knit structure; hanging for long periods can stretch the elastane out of the four-way stretch zones at the knee and ankle.
