Polarverse Balaclava

The Polarverse Balaclava is built for high-exertion winter pursuits, delivering adaptable coverage and technical protection in cold, wind, and snow. Engineered with WINDSTOPPER® by GORE-TEX LABS, this balaclava provides windproof, water-resistant performance while remaining breathable for comfort during high-output activities. The main body features recycled polyester for warmth, while stretch fleece panels enhance mobility. A removable face piece with a mesh nose and mouth port ventilates while pushing the pace, and the modular design with a hook-and-loop closure allows for easy adjustments based on conditions. Moisture-wicking properties keep perspiration in check, ensuring dry comfort in dynamic environments. From alpine ascents and backcountry tours to winter bike commutes and frigid trail runs, the Polarverse Balaclava delivers technical versatility and reliable protection for any cold-weather challenge.

WINDSTOPPER® by GORE-TEX LABS
A fully windproof, water-resistant, and breathable membrane blocks cutting gusts and wind chill on exposed ridgelines and chairlift rides, while letting heat and moisture vapor escape to keep you comfortable during high-output activity.
Modular Face Coverage
A removable face piece with a mesh nose and mouth port lets you vent heat and breath when pushing the pace on cold climbs, then reattach for full coverage on windy descents and sub-zero chairlift rides.
Hook-and-Loop Modular Closure
A hook-and-loop closure at the chin and neck lets you adjust coverage on the fly without removing the balaclava, sealing in warmth for cold belays or opening up for high-exertion pushes.
Stretch Fleece Panels
Strategic stretch fleece panels at high-movement zones enhance mobility when turning your head to check terrain, talking to a partner, or working a pack strap, eliminating restriction during dynamic activity.
Mesh Breath Ports
Mesh nose and mouth ports in the face piece let breath vapor escape instead of building up inside the balaclava, reducing fogging on goggles and sunglasses and preventing the damp-clammy chill of trapped perspiration.
Moisture-Wicking
The polyester and nylon blend pulls moisture off the skin and moves it through the fabric for evaporation, keeping your face and neck dry during high-output winter activity.
Helmet & Hood Compatible
Low-profile design layers cleanly under a climbing, skiing, or cycling helmet, and fits comfortably under a jacket hood without bunching or pressure points at the chin and ears.
Lightweight & Packable
At just 2.9 oz, the balaclava stuffs into a pocket, helmet bag, or jacket interior pocket and pulls on instantly when the wind picks up or the temperature drops.

Cleaning
Hand wash cold with a mild technical-gear or liquid detergent. Do not use bleach, fabric softener, or standard laundry soap, which can degrade the WINDSTOPPER® membrane and reduce windproof performance over time. Lay flat to air dry; do not tumble dry or wring.
Drying
Lay flat to air dry away from direct heat and sunlight. Avoid high heat and tumble drying, which can damage the WINDSTOPPER® membrane, the stretch fleece panels, and the hook-and-loop closure.
Hook-and-Loop Care
Periodically clean the hook-and-loop closure with a fine-tooth comb or a piece of tape to remove lint and debris that can reduce grip over time. Replace the balaclava if the closure loses holding power and no longer seals securely.
Storage
Allow the balaclava to dry fully before storing. Keep flat or loosely folded in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight. Avoid compression under heavy gear, which can damage the membrane and reduce breathability. Store with the hook-and-loop fastened to keep lint out of the closure.
Waterproofing Refresh
The WINDSTOPPER® membrane does not require reproofing for wind protection. If the face fabric loses water-shedding performance after extended use, a light tumble dry on low heat for 20–30 minutes reactivates the DWR finish.
