Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle with a down-safe technical wash like Nikwax Down Wash or Granger's Down Wash — avoid regular detergent, which strips the natural oils from the 700-fill goose down clusters and reduces loft.

Close all zippers and secure any hook-and-loop before washing. Wash the hoodie separately from heavily soiled items to protect the lightweight 38 g/m² Pertex® Quantum ripstop shell.

Tumble dry on low heat with two or three clean tennis balls or dryer balls — the balls break up clumps in the goose down insulation and restore loft after washing. Drying thoroughly (often 2-3 cycles) is essential to keep the down performing at its best and prevent mildew.

Do not bleach, do not use fabric softener, and do not use dryer sheets — all three can coat the 700-fill down fibers and degrade the loft, the Cordura® overlay, and the non-PFC DWR finish on the body and overlay.

Do not iron, do not dry clean, and do not wring the hoodie when wet — wringing can permanently mat the goose down insulation and damage the Cordura® ripstop overlay.

Re-apply a non-PFC DWR spray-on treatment (like Nikwax TX Direct or Granger's Performance Repel) after several washes to refresh the water-shedding performance of both the Pertex® shell and the Cordura® overlay.

Store the hoodie uncompressed (loose in a large cotton or mesh storage sack) in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area when not in use — long-term compression in a stuff sack can reduce the 700-fill down loft and overall warmth over time.

Periodically air the hoodie outside on a dry, sunny day to keep the goose down fresh and prevent moisture buildup in storage.

Inspect the Cordura® overlay at the high-wear zones (shoulders, hood, upper sleeves) periodically for abrasion or seam stress — these zones take the brunt of pack-strap wear and benefit from early repair with a technical patch.
