The redesigned Kazu Kokubo Pro comes in a compact chassis with a powder nose and a slightly tapered tail, making this award-winning series quick and maneuverable. This versatility is perfect for side-country powder mornings that transition to resort riding after you've tracked your secret stash. And, while it's a lofty goal, this board is your first step towards trying to emulate Kazu's legendary riding style. Quick and maneuverable, the Kazu Pro's lightweight power and pop comes from its Panda Hover Core™, CarbonFlax™ Amplifiers, and HolySheet™ Tri/Bi fiberglass configuration. Upgraded for 2026, the Kazu Kokubo Pro is now powered by a tougher Hyper-Drive™ ADV XT base with factory-direct Moonshot Omni-Tune™.

Waxing
Wax every 3-5 riding days or any time the base looks dry, white, or slow. The HyperDrive ADV XT sintered base absorbs wax quickly — hot wax preferred for full saturation. The Moonshot Omni-Tune base structure holds wax well but benefits from regular waxing for top speed in fresh and wet snow.
Edge Tuning
Sharpen edges with a file or stone when they feel dull, after hitting rocks, or at the start of each season. The Kazu's directional shape with 8-10 mm taper — detune the tip contact point slightly for a less catchy feel on hardpack while preserving tail-side power transfer.
Wood Topsheet Care
The Skinless™ Core Ash Woodgrain Topsheet is a real wood veneer with a unique tactile feel. Handle with care during transport and storage — keep in a board bag to protect from scratches. The wood grain is part of the premium aesthetic.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Keep in a board bag to protect the wood topsheet and HyperDrive ADV XT base from scratches during transport. Avoid leaving it in a hot car or garage — heat can damage the wood veneer and weaken the base.
Binding Mounting
The 2×4 stainless steel insert pattern lets you set stance width and angles anywhere in the range. Mount bindings with the standard 4×4 pattern using 4× M6 screws per binding. The Kazu is directional with 0.8" setback — set bindings to the Ref. Stance listed for each size and adjust ±1 cm based on your stance-width preference.
