BOA® Fit System with TX3 Lace
"This philosophy is proven with features like the BOA® Fit System, featuring TX3 lace that is both secure and durable" — the BOA dial closure system delivers micro-adjustable, even pressure distribution across the instep and forefoot. The TX3 lace (a high-strength textile lace) is both secure and durable, standing up to the abuse of grom riding. Quick on/off — twist to tighten, pull out to release.
Heat-Moldable Comfort EVA Liner
"The K2 Sidecar heat-moldable Comfort EVA liner is warm and breathable and can be custom-fit to any foot shape" — the Comfort EVA liner can be heat-molded by a certified bootfitter using a boot oven to perfectly match your grom's foot shape. The molding process softens the liner foam temporarily so it conforms to pressure points and bony prominences, then sets as it cools. A custom fit without the cost of a fully custom boot.
Internal J Bars
"It also features internal J bars that hug the ankles for a supportive and responsive fit" — the internal J bars are padded reinforcements around the ankle area that hug the ankle bones for a supportive, responsive fit. The J bars reduce heel lift and improve overall comfort, especially important for growing feet that need extra ankle support.
Grows-A-Long Shim System
"We've placed our Grows-A-Long shim system in there, allowing for a longer life out of the boot" — the Grows-A-Long shim system is a removable insert under the insole that can be taken out as your grom's feet grow. One pair of boots can last multiple seasons — remove the shim for extra room when feet grow, then put it back when passing the boots down to a younger rider.

Drying
Remove liners after each use and air dry at room temperature away from direct heat. Buckles and BOA dials should be stored loose during long-term storage to allow airflow and prevent shell deformation.
Shell Cleaning
Wipe the shell with a damp cloth to remove dirt and salt. Use a mild soap if needed. Avoid harsh solvents that can damage the shell material or BOA components.
Liner Care
Remove liners periodically for full air-drying. The Grows-A-Long shim system allows you to adjust fit as your grom's feet grow — remove the shim for extra room when needed.
BOA System Care
Keep the BOA dial and TX3 lace clean of ice, snow, and debris. If the dial becomes stiff, remove it and clear the mechanism. The TX3 lace is durable but can be replaced if damaged — spare laces are available through K2's parts program.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Use a boot bag for transport and storage. Buckles and BOA dials should be left loose during long-term storage to maintain the shell's shape.
