Wash Less — Spot Clean First

Down jackets lose loft with every wash. Spot clean small dirt and stains with a damp cloth and mild soap — only machine wash when truly necessary (heavy sweat, food spills, persistent odors).

Machine Wash Cold (Front Loader)

If washing is needed, use a front-loading machine on a gentle/cold cycle with a technical down wash (like Nikwax Down Wash) — top-loaders with agitators can damage the baffles and down clusters.

Tumble Dry Low with Tennis Balls

Tumble dry on low heat with 2-3 clean tennis balls or dryer balls — they break up down clumps and restore loft. Multiple cycles may be needed to fully dry; damp down clumps and loses insulation.

Re-Proof DWR Periodically

The Ventia™ shell's DWR finish fades with use — re-apply a spray-on DWR treatment (like Nikwax TX Direct) every 30-50 days of use to maintain shell water beading.

Store Uncompressed

Store the jacket hanging or in a large breathable bag — avoid long-term compression in a stuff sack, which damages down loft and reduces long-term warmth.

Do Not Bleach, Iron, or Dry Clean

Avoid chlorine bleach (degrades shell and DWR), hot irons (melts synthetic fibers), and dry-cleaning solvents (strip down's natural oils and DWR finish).

Returns & Exchanges:
