Component Breakdown
Dark Matter Technology
"Injected TPU inserts, weighted with powdered stainless steel, are integrated into the core at enhanced stability points. These locations are fine-tuned to each model and size to amplify performance and purpose." — "Dark Matter damps chatter through chop and crud."
Enhanced Stability Points
"Enhanced Stability Points reinforce critical areas of the ski to improve edge grip and torsional control. By strengthening high-load zones, K2 increases confidence and predictability during aggressive turns. This technology helps skis track more consistently at speed and through variable terrain, delivering a planted feel without adding unnecessary stiffness or weight."
Titanal I-Beam
"Titanal I-Beam construction reinforces the ski with a central Titanal laminate shaped to maximize strength and precision. This design enhances torsional stiffness and power transfer while maintaining smooth flex. The result is improved edge grip, stability, and control, ideal for frontside and all-mountain skis built for confident carving." — "Adds the backbone to drive every turn with purpose."
All-Terrain Rocker
"Blends gradual tip rocker with traditional camber underfoot for versatility across conditions. The rocker improves turn initiation and float, while camber delivers edge hold and stability. Designed to perform on groomers, crud, and light powder, it offers predictable response for everyday all-mountain skiing in mixed terrain and seasons."
Aspen Paulownia Core
"Blends durable aspen with lightweight paulownia to reduce overall weight without sacrificing strength. Aspen provides stability and snap, while paulownia increases efficiency and maneuverability. This core creates a balanced ride that feels energetic yet composed, ideal for modern all-mountain skis prioritizing versatility and reduced swing weight."
