Mindbender 101 W Skis - Women's

Freeride freedom, no compromise. The Mindbender 101 W is built for women who want one ski that handles every condition the mountain throws down. Dark Matter keeps the ride quiet through chop and crust, a Titanal I-Beam delivers stability when you want to push it, and a versatile shape loves soft snow and hardpack alike. Light enough to play, strong enough to charge — pick a line and own it.

Dark Matter Damping
"Dark Matter keeps the ride quiet through chop and crust" — K2's Dark Matter technology is a vibration-dampening layer strategically placed in the ski to absorb chatter and high-frequency vibration before it reaches the skier. The result is a calmer, more composed ride in variable, chopped-up, and crusty snow — exactly when you need the ski to stay settled and predictable.
Titanal I-Beam Reinforcement
"A Titanal I-Beam delivers stability when you want to push it" — a full-length Titanal (aluminum alloy) I-beam running through the center of the ski adds edge-to-edge energy and damping without the weight of a full Titanal topsheet. The I-beam shape gives the ski a stable, grounded feel at speed while keeping the tip and tail lighter for easier turn initiation.
Aspen Paulownia Core
Blends durable aspen with lightweight paulownia to reduce overall weight without sacrificing strength. Aspen provides stability and snap, while paulownia increases efficiency and maneuverability. At 1735g per ski @ 171 cm, the Mindbender 101 W is light enough to play but stable enough to charge.
All-Terrain Rocker
Blends gradual tip rocker with traditional camber underfoot for versatility across conditions. Rocker improves turn initiation and float in soft snow, while camber delivers edge hold and stability on hardpack — a profile that matches the Mindbender 101 W's freeride/all-mountain mission.
101 mm Waist Width
"A versatile shape loves soft snow and hardpack alike" — the 101 mm waist is wider than the 96 W, giving the 101 W more float in soft snow and a more surfy feel in powder. Still narrow enough to rail groomers when needed. The 130-101-122 dimensions show a slight tip and tail taper for a touch of directional bias.
Women's-Specific Mount Point
Designed around women's specific mount points for natural balance and easier turn initiation. The mount point is optimized for women's biomechanics — slightly forward of the men's version to compensate for typical differences in center of gravity.

Storage
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Use a ski bag for transport and storage to protect the bases, edges, and topsheets from damage.
Base Care
Wax regularly (every 5-10 ski days) with a quality ski wax matched to snow temperature to maintain base glide and protect the ski from drying out.
Edge Care
Sharpen and deburr edges as needed to maintain edge hold on hardpack and ice. Check edges periodically for rust or damage, especially after wet snow days.
Binding Maintenance
Have bindings inspected and tested annually by a certified technician. DIN settings should be matched to skier weight, height, ability, and boot sole length.

"Freeride freedom, no compromise" — the Mindbender 101 W is built for women who want one ski that handles every condition the mountain throws down. 17.0 m radius @ 171 cm gives a long, arc-shaped turn that loves to be carved at speed. 4 sizes cover most adult women's heights, with a wider waist (101mm vs 96mm) for more soft-snow float.

Aspen Paulownia Core
Blends durable aspen with lightweight paulownia to reduce overall weight without sacrificing strength. Aspen provides stability and snap, while paulownia increases efficiency and maneuverability. At 1735g per ski @ 171 cm, the Mindbender 101 W is light enough to play but stable enough to charge — a sweet spot for women's freeride skis.
All-Terrain Rocker Profile
"Blends gradual tip rocker with traditional camber underfoot for versatility across conditions" — the rocker improves turn initiation and float in soft snow, while the camber delivers the edge hold and stability needed for hardpack. A profile that matches the Mindbender 101 W's freeride/all-mountain mission.
101 mm Waist (130-101-122)
"A versatile shape loves soft snow and hardpack alike" — the 101 mm waist is wider than the 96 W, giving the 101 W more float in soft snow and a more surfy feel in powder. Still narrow enough to rail groomers when needed. The 130-101-122 dimensions show a slight tip and tail taper for a touch of directional bias without going full powder ski.
17.0 m Turn Radius @ 171 cm
A long turn radius that loves to be carved at speed on groomers and open powder fields. The longer radius is part of what gives the Mindbender 101 W its "stable and confident at speed" feel — it wants to make long, arc-shaped turns. Not as maneuverable in tight terrain as shorter-radius skis.
Women's-Specific Mount Point
The women's-specific design includes a mount point optimized for women's biomechanics — slightly forward of the men's version to compensate for typical differences in center of gravity. This gives women skiers a more natural, balanced stance without having to remount the bindings.
1735 g Per Ski (Lightweight)
At 1735g per ski @ 171 cm, the Mindbender 101 W is lighter than most women's freeride skis in this category — the aspen/paulownia core and targeted Titanal I-beam keep weight down without sacrificing performance. Lighter skis are easier to maneuver, less fatiguing on long days, and more playful in tight terrain.
