Power Aluminum Pole

Save some coin without sacrificing proper pole plants. You might have just used "whatever is lying around" in the past, but that ain't cutting it now. Get your hands on a pair of durable Power Aluminum poles, featuring a robust 18mm-diameter shaft, and push off into your next on-mountain adventure.

18mm Aluminum Shaft
Durable 18mm-diameter aluminum shaft built to handle a full season of pole plants, rail taps, and parking-lot drops without cracking or bending. Aluminum construction is the workhorse of ski poles — strong enough for daily abuse, light enough not to weigh down your swing.
Rubber Grip
Ergonomic rubber grip with a textured surface for secure hand placement even with sweaty gloves or mittens. The rubber compound stays grippy in cold temps and absorbs shock on hard-snow pole plants better than hard plastic.
Steel Tip
Hardened steel tip bites into ice, hardpack, and variable spring conditions without bending. Standard replacement thread pattern means you can swap tips on the mountain if one gets damaged mid-season — no special tools required.
60mm Hard-Snow Basket
Compact 60mm hard-snow basket sits close to the tip for minimal wind resistance on fast descents and clean pole plants in spring conditions. Won't drag in deep powder but perfect for piste, park, and rails where smaller baskets keep the swing quick.
Park & Rails Ready
Hard-snow basket geometry with minimal surface area to prevent the pole from catching on rails, boxes, and park features. Built for the rider who spends time in the park but still wants a pole that plants properly on groomer mornings.

After Use
Wipe down the shaft with a dry cloth to remove snow and moisture. Store poles in a dry place — aluminum shafts can oxidize if left wet in a damp environment for extended periods.
Tip & Basket Maintenance
Inspect steel tips before each season for bends or dulling. Replace the tip if it's lost its point or bent beyond use — most ski shops can swap them in minutes. Check that the basket is secure and not cracked; replace if the basket no longer grips the shaft firmly.
Grip Care
Rinse rubber grips with mild soap and water if they get sticky or grimy. Avoid petroleum-based cleaners that can degrade the rubber compound. Let grips air-dry completely before storing.
Storage
Store poles assembled and standing upright or laid flat in a dry, climate-controlled space. Avoid leaning them in corners where they can develop a permanent bend. For long-term off-season storage, a pole bag or boot bag pocket keeps them clean and protected.

General rule: stand with arms at your sides and elbows at 90° — the pole should reach your palm or wrist crease. Park & rails riders often size down 3-5 cm for easier swings; mogul and piste skiers often size up 3-5 cm for more leverage on the plant.
