Mindbender 96 Skis - Men's

The Mindbender 96 arcs clean on hardpack and dives into the trees with confidence — the sweet spot for skiers who want one ski for everything. Dark Matter damps chatter through chop and crud, while a Titanal I-Beam adds the backbone to drive every turn with purpose. The shape loves versatility, so you don't have to pick a favorite zone on the mountain. Anywhere, anytime — this ski is ready to ride.

Dark Matter Damping
"Dark Matter damps chatter through chop and crud" — K2's Dark Matter technology is a vibration-dampening layer strategically placed in the ski to absorb chatter and high-frequency vibration before it reaches the skier. The result is a calmer, more composed ride in variable and chopped-up snow — exactly when you need the ski to stay settled and predictable.
Titanal I-Beam Reinforcement
"A Titanal I-Beam adds the backbone to drive every turn with purpose" — a full-length Titanal (aluminum alloy) I-beam running through the center of the ski adds edge-to-edge energy and response without the weight of a full Titanal topsheet. The I-beam shape gives the ski a quick, lively feel underfoot while keeping the tip and tail lighter for easier turn initiation.
Aspen Paulownia Core
Blends durable aspen with lightweight paulownia to reduce overall weight without sacrificing strength. Aspen provides stability and snap, while paulownia increases efficiency and maneuverability. At 1900g per ski @ 183 cm, the Mindbender 96 is light enough for all-day skiing but stable enough for charging.
All-Terrain Rocker
Blends gradual tip rocker with traditional camber underfoot for versatility across conditions. Rocker improves turn initiation and float in soft snow, while camber delivers edge hold and stability on hardpack — a profile that matches the Mindbender 96's all-mountain mission: groomers, soft snow, and everything in between.
96 mm Waist Width
The 96 mm waist is the sweet spot for a true one-ski quiver — wide enough to float in soft snow and provide a stable platform at speed, narrow enough to rail groomers and feel quick edge-to-edge. The 135-96-123 dimensions show a slight tip and tail taper for a touch of directional bias without going full powder ski.

Storage
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Use a ski bag for transport and storage to protect the bases, edges, and topsheets from damage.
Base Care
Wax regularly (every 5-10 ski days) with a quality ski wax matched to snow temperature to maintain base glide and protect the ski from drying out.
Edge Care
Sharpen and deburr edges as needed to maintain edge hold on hardpack and ice. Check edges periodically for rust or damage, especially after wet snow days.
Binding Maintenance
Have bindings inspected and tested annually by a certified technician. DIN settings should be matched to skier weight, height, ability, and boot sole length.

1775'8" – 6'0"All-Mountain Versatility
1835'11" – 6'3"Stability at Speed
1896'2" – 6'6"Bigger Lines / Open Terrain

"Precision meets play" — the Mindbender 96 is built for men who want one ski that handles groomers, soft snow, and mixed conditions without compromise. 20.0 m radius @ 183 cm gives a long, arc-shaped turn that loves to be carved at speed. 4 sizes cover most adult men's heights, with the 96 mm waist providing a true one-ski quiver balance between hardpack and soft snow.

🔩
Dark Matter Damping
"Dark Matter damps chatter through chop and crud" — K2's Dark Matter technology is a vibration-dampening layer strategically placed in the ski to absorb chatter and high-frequency vibration before it reaches the skier. The result is a calmer, more composed ride in variable, chopped-up, and crusty snow — exactly when you need the ski to stay settled and predictable.
At 1900g per ski @ 183 cm, the Mindbender 96 is light enough for all-day skiing but stable enough for charging — a sweet spot for men's all-mountain skis.
All-Terrain Rocker Profile
"Blends gradual tip rocker with traditional camber underfoot for versatility across conditions" — the rocker improves turn initiation and float in soft snow, while the camber delivers the edge hold and stability needed for hardpack. A profile that matches the Mindbender 96's all-mountain mission: groomers, soft snow, and everything in between.
96 mm Waist (135-96-123)
The 96 mm waist is the sweet spot for a true one-ski quiver — wide enough to float in soft snow and provide a stable platform at speed, narrow enough to rail groomers and feel quick edge-to-edge. The 135-96-123 dimensions show a slight tip and tail taper for a touch of directional bias without going full powder ski.
20.0 m Turn Radius @ 183 cm
A long turn radius that loves to be carved at speed on groomers and open powder fields. The longer radius is part of what gives the Mindbender 96 its "stable and confident at speed" feel — it wants to make long, arc-shaped turns. Not as maneuverable in tight terrain as shorter-radius skis.
1900 g Per Ski (Midweight)
At 1900g per ski @ 183 cm, the Mindbender 96 is midweight for a 96 mm all-mountain ski — the aspen/paulownia core and targeted Titanal I-beam keep weight down without sacrificing performance. Midweight construction balances stability at speed with enough swing weight reduction for playful maneuvering.
Versatile One-Ski Quiver Design
"The sweet spot for skiers who want one ski for everything" — the Mindbender 96 is designed to handle groomers, trees, chop, crud, and soft snow without compromise. The 96 mm waist is wide enough to float in soft snow but narrow enough to rail groomers. The All-Terrain Rocker + Dark Matter + Titanal I-Beam combination makes this the do-everything ski in the Mindbender lineup.
