Component Breakdown
Powerlite Shell — Lightweight Construction
Powerlite Shell — K2's lightweight construction that doesn't fatigue skiers on long days. A medium-volume workhorse that balances touring efficiency with downhill response.
100mm Last — Medium Volume
100mm last — medium volume for a range of foot shapes. More accessible than the LV (Low Volume) shells on the Cortex 110/120/130, with a fit that works for most intermediate skiers breaking into the backcountry.
BOA® Fit System
BOA® Fit System with single micro-adjustable dial — precise, custom fit that locks in the heel and lower leg. Quick on-the-fly adjustments for touring transitions and layering changes.
Heat-Moldable Support
Heat-moldable support conforms to individual foot shape over time — for a custom fit. Tuned for intermediate skiers who want responsive energy transfer without a punishing race-level break-in period.
50-Degree Walk Mode
50-degree walk mode opens up the cuff for skin-track hiking and boot-packing. The Mindbender 100 BOA is built for skiers breaking into the backcountry — efficient uphill movement with confident downhill response.
Touring-Capable Design
Designed for intermediate skiers breaking into the backcountry — versatile boot that works for lift-served freestyle, all-mountain charging, and intro-level touring. "Opens up a whole new side of skiing" beyond the resort.
Confident Downhill Response
Despite the tour-friendly flex 100 and walk mode, the Mindbender 100 retains confident downhill response — energetic rebound and edge hold for charging descents without the punishing stiffness of a race boot.
Best For: Freeride, Powder, Touring
Per the page, the Mindbender 100 BOA is best for Freeride, Powder, and Touring — versatile three-way coverage for intermediate skiers exploring the backcountry.
