Men's Freewheel MTB Half Zip Hoodie

The Freewheel MTB Half Zip Hoodie is built with breathable and bluesign® approved weather-resistant materials and a bike-specific fit for extending the mountain bike season deep into spring and fall — a breathable, quick-drying layer that protects against wind and moisture while logging trail or gravel miles on cool weather days, with bike-specific fit and features including a drop-tail hem, extended front zip for easy on and off, articulated cuffs, a 3-panel hood that fits underneath a helmet, and strategically placed shoulder seams for comfortable pack wear, while the durable double-weave fabric offers movement-mirroring stretch to complement quick reactions on the bike, featuring bluesign®-approved and recycled materials, and integrated UPF 50+ sun protection for long days in the saddle.

Bike-Specific Fit
Built specifically for trail and gravel riding — drop-tail hem stays tucked when leaning into the bars, no seams on top of shoulder prevent pack strap chafing, and bike-specific articulation throughout for unrestricted movement on the saddle.
3-Panel Helmet-Compatible Hood
3-panel hood construction fits cleanly under a bike helmet — provides weather protection and warmth without bunching or restricting helmet fit. Low-Pro™ binding on the hood lies flat and stays in place during aggressive riding.
No Seams on Top of Shoulder
Strategically placed shoulder seams keep the top-of-shoulder zone flat and smooth — eliminates chafing and pressure points under backpack or hydration-pack straps during long rides.
13" Center Front Zipper
Extended 13-inch center front zipper lets you vent heat on the climb and zip up tight for cool descents — perfect for variable conditions during shoulder-season rides.
Drop-Tail Contoured Hem
Contoured hem with extended drop-tail coverage in back stays tucked and out of the way when leaning into riding position — no exposed lower back on the climb and no flapping fabric in the wind.
Bonded Articulated Cuffs with Gusset
Bonded cuffs lay flat against the wrist without bulky binding — articulated gusset extends sleeve range of motion for aggressive maneuvering without riding up.
UPF 50+ Sun Protection
Built-in UPF 50+ shields exposed skin from harsh UV on summer trail rides, exposed ridge traverses, and gravel adventures under direct sun — the highest sun protection tier.
Brushed Interior for Warmth
Brushed interior fabric adds light insulation and wicks moisture — soft against skin, traps body heat during cool-weather rides, and dries quickly between efforts.
Movement-Mirroring Stretch
8% spandex blended with 92% recycled nylon delivers 4-way stretch — quick reactions on the bike happen without binding, perfect for high-cadence climbing and technical descents.
Bonded Chest Zip Pocket
Bonded left chest zip pocket secures phone, keys, or snacks — accessible while wearing a pack or jersey, won't dump contents on rough descents. Bonded construction reduces bulk.

Materials

Fabric
bluesign® approved 92% Recycled Nylon, 8% Spandex Double Weave
Machine Wash Cold
Wash on a gentle cycle with cold water and like colors — preserves the brushed interior, spandex stretch, UPF coating, and bonded cuff construction.
Tumble Dry Low or Hang Dry
Tumble dry on low heat or hang dry away from direct sunlight — high heat degrades the spandex stretch, UPF treatment, and brushed interior softness.
Do Not Bleach or Fabric Softener
Avoid chlorine bleach (degrades nylon and UPF coating) and liquid fabric softener (leaves residue that reduces wicking, breathability, and water resistance).
Do Not Iron or Dry Clean
Skip the iron — the synthetic blend is naturally wrinkle-resistant. Dry cleaning solvents strip the UPF finish and water-resistant treatment.
Re-Proof DWR Periodically
After several washes, the DWR finish may fade. Restore with a spray-on or wash-in DWR treatment (like Nikwax TX Direct) to maintain weather resistance.

Passion drives us

At SpokeX Bike Co., bikes aren't just our business — they’re our way of life. As a rider-owned and operated shop, every decision we make comes from firsthand experience on the trail, at the race, and on the open road. We know what it’s like to chase a new line, push through the pain cave, and celebrate the ride — because we live it every day.
