Great for winter hikes on the coldest days or tailgating at the ski resort parking lot, the Fuego Down Overall is a playful take on our quintessential insulation layer and now features a new and improved fit. Made with a 100% recycled nylon shell and responsibly sourced 800-fill down, this lightweight overall is one we love for winter wandering.

800-Fill Responsibly Sourced Down

Premium 800-fill-power down — high loft-to-weight ratio means exceptional warmth without bulk. Responsibly sourced to RDS (Responsible Down Standard) for animal welfare traceability.

Reduced Baffle Height (Improved Fit)

Updated design with reduced baffle height — closer to body, less puffy silhouette, improved fit vs. previous seasons. Cotopaxi explicitly redesigned the fit after sizing feedback (Saad N., 1★: "way off on this product").

2-Way Center Zipper

Full-length 2-way center zipper — zip from top down for easy on/off, or unzip from bottom for bathroom breaks without removing the whole overall. Steve T. (5★): "The side zip is great . Easy in easy out."

Functional Fly Zip

Functional fly zip at the front — bathroom-friendly without dropping the shoulder straps. Practical consideration many overalls miss.

Adjustable Shoulder Straps

Adjustable shoulder straps let you dial in torso length — accommodates different torso heights. Neil M. (5★): "I only thing i would suggest. Is to put a clip on the strip so you don't need to put over your head" (a future-design suggestion, not a current complaint).

Leg Zips for Easy On/Off

Side leg zips run from hem upward — step into the overall without removing boots/shoes. Critical for cold-weather layering over base layers or ski pants.

Bungee at Leg Opening

Adjustable bungee cord at the leg hem — cinch around boots to seal in warmth, or loosen for ventilation on the move.

Fit Note

"New and improved fit" per PDP — reduced baffle height addresses prior sizing complaints. Saad N. (1★, 04/30/25) flagged sizing as "way off"; Cotopaxi replied they would adjust for future seasons. If between sizes or unsure, size up — final sale on both colorways means no returns if fit is off.

Washing

Machine wash cold, gentle cycle. Use a down-specific detergent (Nikwax Down Wash or Granger's Down Care) — regular detergent strips natural oils from down. Close all zippers before washing.

Drying

Tumble dry LOW with 2-3 clean tennis balls or wool dryer balls. The balls break up down clumps and restore loft. Multiple cycles may be needed to fully dry — patience is key. Air dry flat is acceptable but takes longer.

DWR Refresh

When water no longer beads on the shell, re-treat with a PFAS-free C0 DWR spray (Nikwax TX.Direct or Granger's Extreme Repel). Apply to clean, dry garment. Tumble dry low for 15 min to heat-activate.

Ironing

Do not iron. Direct heat damages the ultralight 37 gsm nylon face and melts the down-proof coating.

Bleach

Do not bleach. Chlorine destroys down clusters and yellows the recycled nylon permanently.

Dry Cleaning

Do not dry clean. Solvents strip the down's natural oils (kills loft) and damage the DWR finish.

Storage

Store loosely on a hanger or in a large cotton storage sack. NEVER store compressed long-term (kills down loft permanently). Ensure garment is fully dry before storage to prevent mildew.

Clump Recovery

If down clumps after washing or extended wear, tumble dry low with tennis balls for 30-60 minutes to break up clumps and restore insulation performance.

Riding gear and apparel orders (helmets, jerseys, gloves, etc.) ship within 3-10 business days.

Returns & Exchanges:

If you received the wrong size or wish to exchange an item, it must be returned in original condition—unused, uninstalled, and with all packaging intact.
