Transcendent Down Beanie

The Transcendent Down Beanie delivers lightweight warmth for cold weather head protection with RDS 800 fill duck down insulation and a bluesign® approved 100% recycled nylon shell—ideal for winter hikes, ski tours, or alpine ascents — built for cold weather head protection, offering dependable warmth whether you're layering up for a mountain approach or braving a frosty walk to work, with a bluesign® approved 100% recycled nylon shell and lining keeping the beanie lightweight and packable, RDS 800 fill duck down insulation trapping heat without adding bulk, down fill providing loft and compressibility making it easy to stow in a pocket or pack when not needed, designed for active cold weather use, fitting comfortably under a hood or helmet, a smart choice for winter hiking, ski touring, or alpine ascents, and as a bonus this beanie is designed to be reversible giving you two ways to wear it.

RDS 800 Fill Duck Down
Premium 800 fill power responsibly sourced duck down (RDS certified) delivers exceptional warmth-to-weight ratio — top-tier fill power for serious cold-weather use. Maximum loft for the lightest possible warmth.
Extreme Warmth Rating
Rated Extreme warmth — the highest tier. Built for the coldest days on the mountain, from frosty morning approaches to sub-zero alpine ascents. Maximum protection in the smallest package.
Reversible Design
Reversible construction lets you wear the beanie two ways — flip inside-out to switch between colorways (color-dependent) or extend the beanie's life when one side shows wear. Doubles your style options.
Packable & Compressible
Down fill compresses small for easy stowage in a pocket, pack, or running vest when not needed — puffs back to full loft when you need it. Perfect for layering changes throughout the day.
100% Recycled Nylon Shell & Lining
Sustainable bluesign® approved 100% recycled nylon construction throughout — eco-friendlier choice with no performance compromise. Lightweight, durable, and water-resistant.
Helmet & Hood Compatible
Fits comfortably under a hood, climbing helmet, or ski/snowboard helmet without bunching or pressure points — slim profile suits both active and casual cold-weather wear.
Water-Resistant
Recycled nylon shell provides light water resistance against snow flurries and freezing drizzle — protects the down insulation from light precipitation to maintain loft and warmth.
Ultralight Construction
Weighs just 1.48 oz / 42 g — disappears in your jacket pocket or pack when not needed. Premium warmth without bulk for ounce-counting mountain athletes.
Active Cold-Weather Versatility
Built for winter hikes, ski tours, alpine ascents, frosty walks to work, and cold trailhead waits — bridges the gap between lightweight fleece beanies and heavyweight mountaineering balaclavas.
Ethical Down Sourcing
RDS (Responsible Down Standard) certification verifies that the duck down comes from humanely treated birds — no live-plucking or force-feeding. Critical for sustainability-conscious buyers.

RDS 800 Fill Duck Down
Wash Less — Spot Clean First
Down beanies lose loft with every wash. Spot clean small dirt and stains with a damp cloth and mild soap — only machine wash when truly necessary.
Hand Wash (If Needed)
Hand wash gently in cold water with a technical down wash (like Nikwax Down Wash) — avoid machine washing, which can damage the recycled nylon shell and down baffles.
Tumble Dry Low with Tennis Balls
If machine drying, use low heat with 2-3 clean tennis balls — they break up down clumps and restore 800 fill loft. Air dry flat as an alternative.
Store Uncompressed
Store hanging or in a large breathable bag — avoid long-term compression in a stuff sack, which damages 800 fill down loft and reduces long-term warmth.
Do Not Bleach, Iron, or Dry Clean
Avoid chlorine bleach (degrades shell and RDS down), hot irons (melts synthetic fibers), and dry-cleaning solvents (strips down's natural oils).
