It also conveniently packs up small, using its zippered chest pocket as a stuff sack. Highly Wind Resistant

A bluesign® approved 20D stretch-woven shell blocks cutting gusts and wind chill on exposed ridgelines, breezy beach walks, and fast descents, while remaining breathable enough for high-output aerobic activity.

Movement-Mirroring Stretch

A 90% nylon / 10% spandex stretch woven fabric moves with your body on every stride, reach, and scramble, eliminating restriction during high-exertion pursuits like trail running, ski touring, and fast hiking.

Light Water Resistance

A DWR-treated shell sheds light rain, drizzle, and snow flurries long enough to keep you comfortable on short exposed sections, though it's not built for sustained wet weather.

Stowable Hood with Bonded Brim

A bonded-brim hood seals out wind and light precip when you need it, then stows cleanly into the jacket's collar for a streamlined look and no flapping fabric when you don't.

Packable into Chest Pocket

The zip chest pocket doubles as a built-in stuff sack, letting you compress the entire hoodie into a small bundle that fits in a running vest, hydration pack, or hip belt for emergency wind protection on long days.

Cleaning

Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle with a mild technical-gear or liquid detergent. Do not use bleach, fabric softener, or standard laundry soap, which can degrade the DWR finish and the stretch-woven fabric over time.

Drying

Tumble dry on low heat for 20–30 minutes to reactivate the DWR finish, or hang to air dry. Avoid high heat, which can damage the spandex content and reduce the elastic recovery of the stretch panels and cuffs.

Storage

Allow the hoodie to dry fully before storing. Hang on a wide hanger or fold loosely in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight. Avoid keeping it compressed in the chest-pocket stuff sack for long periods, which can compress the bonded brim over time.

Zipper Care

YKK zippers last longest with occasional cleaning. Brush out debris with a soft toothbrush, and rub a beeswax candle or graphite pencil along the teeth if a zipper starts to stick. Do not force a stuck zipper—work it back and forth gently.

Waterproofing Refresh

When the shell no longer sheds light rain, reproof with a spray-on DWR treatment compatible with stretch-woven nylon to restore water resistance without compromising the stretch or breathability.
