Hybrid-Mapped Construction

VerticalX™ ECO insulation at the front body and hood provides low-bulk warmth where you need it most, while uninsulated stretch panels at the back and sides dump excess heat and moisture for maximum breathability on high-output pursuits and stop-and-go alpine objectives.

VerticalX™ ECO Insulation

A 45 g/m² 100% polyester (85% recycled) insulation delivers breathable warmth without the bulk of heavier fills, maintaining the breathability needed for high-output activity and quick layering changes in changing mountain weather.

Stretch-Woven Front & Hood

A bluesign® approved 90% nylon / 10% spandex 20D stretch-woven front body and hood with DWR treatment moves with your body on every reach, scramble, and high-step, while shedding light snow and rain.

Recycled Nylon Stretch Back & Sides

A bluesign® approved 92% recycled nylon / 8% spandex 70D x 140D stretch double weave at the back and sides adds durable, abrasion-resistant stretch where you need it most, while letting heat and moisture escape on the uptrack.

4-Way Movement-Mirroring Stretch

Both the insulated front and uninsulated back panels deliver 4-way stretch that mirrors the body's natural movement, eliminating restriction during dynamic alpine activity, high-reach moves, and technical scrambles.

Insulated Hood

A snug insulated hood seals in core warmth around the head and neck on cold belays, ridge scrambles, and frosty starts, and layers cleanly under a climbing or skiing helmet when needed.

Bonded Articulated Cuffs with Gusset

Bonded, articulated cuffs with gussets seal in warmth at the wrist without binding, accommodate gloves or base layers underneath, and move with the arm during high-reach and pole-plant motions.

Pocket Layout

Dual hand pockets and dual chest pockets (one internal, one external zip) secure a phone, gels, a small map, a beanie, or other essentials for quick access on the trail and at the crag.

Cleaning

Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle with a mild technical-gear or liquid detergent. Do not use bleach, fabric softener, or standard laundry soap, which can degrade the VerticalX™ ECO insulation, the DWR finish, and the 4-way stretch panels over time.

Drying

Tumble dry on low heat for 20–30 minutes to reactivate the DWR finish on the front body and hood, or hang to air dry. Avoid high heat, which can damage the spandex content and reduce the elastic recovery of the stretch panels and the bonded cuffs.

Storage

Allow the hoodie to dry fully before storing. Hang on a wide hanger or fold loosely in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight. Avoid compression under heavy gear, which can reduce the VerticalX™ ECO insulation loft and decrease thermal performance over time.

Zipper Care

YKK zippers last longest with occasional cleaning. Brush out debris with a soft toothbrush, and rub a beeswax candle or graphite pencil along the teeth if a zipper starts to stick. Do not force a stuck zipper—work it back and forth gently to avoid breaking the slider.

Waterproofing Refresh

When the front body and hood no longer shed light snow or rain, reproof with a spray-on DWR treatment compatible with stretch-woven nylon to restore water-shedding performance without compromising the breathability or the 4-way stretch.
