The Sun Runner Cap is a lightweight and breathable hat that's perfect for any sunny day activity, whether out on a run or enjoying a day at the lake. The 2.75" wide brim protects from the sun, while the external breathable mesh panels and internal UPF 40 fabric deliver a cool and comfortable feel while protecting from the sun. The convertible design features a removable cape to protect the back of the neck, while the dark material under the brim reduces glare. The chin cord keeps the cap in place on windy days spent on trail, and the TransAction™ headband wicks moisture away from head and face. Built for sun protection on long days out on the trail, the Sun Runner Cap completes a well-equipped outdoor gear kit.

UPF 40 Sun Protection

Internal UPF 40 fabric shields the face, scalp, and neck from harmful UV rays during long days in exposed terrain, eliminating the need for sunscreen on covered skin.

2.75" Wide Brim

A wide, all-around brim shades the face, ears, and neck from direct sun without blocking peripheral vision, ideal for trail running, hiking, and long days on the water.

Dark Fabric Under Brim

A dark underside to the brim reduces glare reflecting back into the eyes, keeping vision clear on bright water, snow, and high-altitude terrain.

External Breathable Mesh Panels

Side mesh panels dump heat and increase airflow during high-output activity, keeping your head cool without sacrificing sun protection on the crown.

Removable Sun Cape

A 10.75" removable cape drapes over the back of the neck for full sun and wind protection on exposed ridges and paddle sessions, and snaps off for everyday wear.

TransAction™ Headband

A moisture-wicking internal headband pulls sweat off the forehead and into the crown, keeping vision clear and preventing the salt-sting that comes with sweat-soaked brims.

Removable Chin Cord

A removable chin cord keeps the cap in place on windy ridge traverses, paddle trips, and fast descents, and unclips for clean around-town wear.

Hook-and-Loop Back Adjustment

Cleaning

Hand wash cold with a mild technical-gear or liquid detergent. Do not use bleach, fabric softener, or standard laundry soap, which can degrade the nylon fabric, the UPF finish, and the TransAction™ headband wicking treatment over time.

Drying

Tumble dry on low heat or hang to air dry. The quick-drying nylon will air dry in minutes. Avoid high heat, which can warp the brim and damage the mesh panels.

Brim Care

The wide brim is reinforced to hold its shape. If it becomes creased or bent in transit, gently reshape it by hand and allow it to recover. Avoid prolonged pressure on the brim (e.g., packing under heavy gear) to prevent permanent deformation.

Storage

Allow the cap to dry fully before storing. Keep flat or loosely folded in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight. The removable cape can be detached for compact packing.

Returns & Exchanges:

If you received the wrong size or wish to exchange an item, it must be returned in original condition—unused, uninstalled, and with all packaging intact.
