The Sun Bucket Hat is made for long days outside when the sun won't let up. From trail miles to paddle strokes, it delivers easy shade and all-day comfort. Built with bluesign® approved nylon, it packs UPF 50+ protection into a breathable, quick-drying, water-resistant fabric that keeps sweat and splash under control. An updated brim design gives you extra coverage while a crown cinch and detachable chin cord keep it secure when the wind picks up. And when the clouds finally roll in, it packs away in its own interior stow pocket until the sun shows up again.

UPF 50+ Sun Protection

Maximum-rated sun protection shields the face, ears, scalp, and back of the neck from harmful UV rays during long days in exposed terrain—on water, alpine ridges, tropical trails, and desert hikes—eliminating the need for sunscreen on covered skin.

2.5" All-Around Brim

A 2.5" brim wraps all the way around the hat, shading the eyes, face, ears, and neck from direct sun and light rain without blocking peripheral vision on the trail or water.

Lightweight Breathable Nylon

A bluesign® approved 100% nylon construction is lightweight, breathable, and quick-drying, keeping your head cool and comfortable on hot, humid days when a heavier cap would trap heat and sweat.

Water-Resistant Fabric

A water-resistant finish sheds light rain, splashing, and brief wet weather on stream crossings, misty ridge walks, and kayak spray, keeping you dry through sudden summer squalls.

Crown Cinch Adjustment

A rear crown cinch dials in a secure, customized fit across a range of head sizes, keeping the hat stable in wind without the bulk or distraction of a tight elastic band.

Detachable & Adjustable Chin Cord

An adjustable chin cord keeps the hat secure on gusty ridge traverses, paddle trips, and fast descents, and unclips for clean around-town wear when the wind dies down.

Packs into Interior Stow Pocket

The hat stuffs into its own interior stow pocket, compressing into a small bundle that fits in a backpack, a hip-belt pocket, or a dry bag for emergency sun protection when clouds roll in and out on long days.

Improved Brim Construction

Cleaning

Hand wash cold with a mild technical-gear or liquid detergent. Do not use bleach, fabric softener, or standard laundry soap, which can degrade the DWR finish and the UPF rating over time.

Drying

Tumble dry on low heat for 20–30 minutes to reactivate the DWR finish, or hang to air dry. The quick-drying nylon will air dry in minutes. Avoid high heat, which can warp the brim and degrade the nylon fibers.

Brim Care

The 2.5" brim is reinforced to hold its shape. If it becomes creased or bent in transit, gently reshape it by hand and allow it to recover. Avoid prolonged pressure on the brim (e.g., packing under heavy gear) to prevent permanent deformation.

Storage

Allow the hat to dry fully before storing. Keep on a hat form, in its own stow pocket, or hung in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight to maintain the structured shape and the integrity of the DWR finish.

Complete bikes typically ship within 2–3 weeks due to build, tuning, and inspection times. You will receive tracking information as soon as your order is ready to ship.

Gear & Apparel:

Outdoor Gear and apparel orders (helmets, jerseys, gloves, etc.) ship within 5-21 business days. Please reach out to us with the most up to date deliveries times as they vary per Manufacturer.

Returns & Exchanges:

If you received the wrong size or wish to exchange an item, it must be returned in original condition—unused, uninstalled, and with all packaging intact.
