Wool / Recycled Polyester Blend

A 51% wool / 45% recycled polyester shell balances natural warmth, odor resistance, and sustainability, with a touch of nylon and elastane for shape retention and a comfortable stretch.

Dryarn® Moisture-Wicking Lining

A hydrophobic Dryarn® polypropylene interior pulls moisture off the skin and moves it to the outer wool layer for evaporation, keeping your forehead dry and warm during high-output winter activity.

Jacquard Knit Design

Cleaning

Hand wash cold with a mild wool-specific detergent (e.g. Eucalan or Nikwax Wool Wash). Do not machine wash, bleach, fabric softener, or standard laundry soap, which can felt the wool, degrade the Dryarn® liner, and cause shrinkage.

Drying

Lay flat to air dry on a clean towel. Gently reshape while damp. Do not wring, tumble dry, or hang dry (which can stretch out the knit). Keep away from direct heat and sunlight.

Storage

Allow the headband to dry fully before storing. Keep flat in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight. A small cedar block or lavender sachet helps deter moths during long-term wool storage.

Pilling Prevention

Wool may pill slightly with heavy use. A fabric shaver or fine wool comb safely removes pilling and restores appearance. Washing inside-out and avoiding friction from backpack straps minimizes pilling over time.
