Nike Dri-FIT Sweat-Wicking
"Nike Dri-FIT technology moves sweat away from your skin for quicker evaporation" — Dri-FIT pulls moisture to the fabric surface where it evaporates faster than on the skin, keeping the hiker drier on long, high-output trail miles. The moisture management also helps the body regulate temperature on warm-weather hikes and exposed ridge walks.
UVA + UVB Sun Protection
"This product provides UVA and UVB protection from the sun only in the areas covered by the garment" — the built-in UPF rating blocks harmful sun exposure on the arms, chest, and back during long trail days. The sun protection is permanent and won't wash out, unlike sunscreen that needs reapplication. Pair with sunscreen on exposed areas like the face, neck, and hands for full coverage.
1/4-Zip Adjustable Ventilation

Machine Wash
Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle with like colors. Avoid bleach, fabric softeners, and harsh detergents, which can break down the spandex in the body fabric and the mesh panels, and may degrade the Dri-FIT treatment. Wash inside-out to protect the surface and the printed graphics.
Drying
Tumble dry on low heat or hang to air dry. The polyester-spandex blend dries quickly on its own — air drying is recommended to extend the life of the spandex recovery, the mesh panels, and the thumbhole cuffs. Avoid high heat, which can damage the Dri-FIT treatment, weaken the elastic in the thumbholes, and degrade the mesh underarm panels.
UV Protection Care
The built-in UVA + UVB protection is permanent in the fabric and won't wash out, but stretched-out fabric reduces the protection level. Maintain the spandex recovery by washing on gentle cycles and air drying when possible. A stretched-out top lets more UV through the fabric, so replace the top if the spandex has lost its snap.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Hang dry or fold loosely to maintain the spandex recovery and prevent creasing at the mesh panels and the thumbhole cuffs. Avoid storing the top in damp conditions, which can degrade the mesh ventilation and the thumbhole elastic over time.
