ACG Cloud Trekker Women's Hiking Pants

Venture beyond the cloudline in water-repellent comfort. Feet on solid ground, head (literally) in the clouds — that's what these pants were made for. To put them to the test, we traveled to Yunnan, China. There, in the remote beauty and thin air, we saw the need for water-repellent fabric and breathability. That's why we added zippers on the thighs that let you adjust the airflow. Four-way stretch pairs with articulated seams for ease of movement on the path that's sandwiched between earth and sky.

"To put them to the test, we traveled to Yunnan, China" — the Cloud Trekker was developed and field-tested in one of China's most remote and beautiful regions. "Remote beauty and thin air" — the high-altitude testing ensured the pants could handle mountain weather, variable conditions, and active use. "Sandwiched between earth and sky" — the Cloud Trekker is built for hikes where you experience full exposure to the elements.
Four-Way Stretch + Articulated Seams
"Four-way stretch pairs with articulated seams for ease of movement" — the stretch fabric allows unrestricted movement during high-output activities like hiking, scrambling, and climbing. "Articulated seams" — the strategically placed seams at the knees and hips follow the natural bend of the body, preventing the binding feel of less-technical pants during long days on the trail.
Thigh-Zip Mesh Vents
"That's why we added zippers on the thighs that let you adjust the airflow" — the thigh-zip vents with mesh lining allow temperature regulation during high-output activity. "Zippered vents along the thighs have a mesh lining for adjustable airflow" — the mesh prevents debris from entering while the zippers open and close easily for quick venting during climbs and descents.
Water-Repellent Tech
"Water-repellent fabric and breathability" — the DWR (Durable Water Repellent) finish sheds light rain and mist, keeping the pants from getting soaked in drizzle. "Water-repellent finish helps keep you dry in wet weather" — the treatment adds versatility for variable conditions, though it's not fully waterproof like a hardshell.
Considered Details
"Bungees at the hem, a belted elastic waistband and an ACG tribiner — we thought about the details" — the adjustable hem bungees cinch the pants to keep out debris and water, the belted elastic waistband provides customizable sizing, and the ACG tribiner clips to the belt loop for keys, pouches, or other small items. "Back welt pocket with hidden snap closure" adds secure storage for essentials.

Washing
Machine wash cold with like colors. The four-way stretch fabric and DWR coating require gentle care to maintain their performance. Use a technical wash cleaner designed for stretch and water-repellent garments. Avoid bleach and fabric softeners, which can coat the fabric fibers and reduce the moisture-wicking and water-repellent performance.
Drying
Tumble dry low or hang dry. The spandex blend dries quickly and maintains its shape. Avoid high heat, which can damage the spandex and reduce the stretch and recovery of the fabric. The water-repellent finish may need to be reactivated with a low-heat tumble dry.
DWR Reapplication
To restore the water-repellent finish after extensive washing, use a technical fabric DWR spray or wash-in treatment. The treatment creates a water-shedding layer on the outer fabric that helps maintain the water-resistant performance over the life of the pants. Reapply after every 5-10 washes for optimal performance.
Storage
Store hanging on a wide hanger or folded in a gear closet. Avoid storing in damp conditions, as moisture can compromise the DWR finish. Keep away from direct sunlight to prevent fading of the Black/Summit White colorway.
