3L Ascent Shell Construction

Three-layer construction with 100% Recycled Polyester 50D Mechanical Stretch Ripstop face, waterproof PU membrane, and soft Jersey Knit backer (140 g/m²) — protection from wind, snow, and moisture with comfort for high-output days.

Fully Seam Taped

Every seam is taped to keep moisture from sneaking in through stitching on storm days and deep powder tours.

Close All Zippers Before Washing

Zip every pocket closed and secure hook-and-loop fasteners before laundering to prevent damage to the face fabric and waterproof zippers.

Machine Wash Cold

Wash on a gentle cycle with a technical outerwear cleaner like Nikwax Tech Wash. Avoid standard detergents that leave residues that clog breathable pores.

Tumble Dry Low or Hang Dry

Tumble dry on low heat to reactivate the DWR finish, or hang dry away from direct sunlight.

Do Not Bleach

Bleach will degrade the PU membrane and compromise waterproof performance.

Do Not Iron

Direct heat from an iron can melt the face fabric and damage the PU membrane and scuff guard.

Do Not Dry Clean

Dry cleaning solvents will strip the DWR coating and break down the membrane's waterproof performance.

Re-Apply DWR Periodically

When water stops beading on the shell, refresh the durable water repellent finish with a spray-on DWR product to restore performance.
