Cleaning
Brush off dirt, snow, and ice with a stiff bristle brush after each outing. Wipe the abrasion-resistant monolayer fabric upper and TPU mudguard shield with lukewarm water; air-dry before storage. Do not machine wash the outer boot.
Inner Boot Drying
Remove the inner boot from the shell after every use. Loosen the BOA® dial fully and open the water-repellent zipper to allow airflow. Dry at room temperature away from direct heat — never use radiators or boot dryers above 30 °C, which can damage the Primaloft® Aerogel insulation.
BOA® Dial Care
Keep the BOA® dial free of ice, snow, and grit. If the dial sticks in extreme cold, brush gently with a soft bristle brush — do not force rotation or apply lubricant, which can damage the dial mechanism. Inspect the BOA® lace cable periodically for fraying.
Crampon Inspection
Inspect the TPU inserts before each outing — verify your automatic crampon front and rear bail/clip points engage firmly. The TPU inserts are visible at the toe and heel welt.
Waterproofing Refresh
Periodically apply a spray-on DWR treatment designed for high-altitude mountaineering boots to revive repellency on the monolayer fabric upper and heat-welded seams.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Insert boot shapers or stuff lightly with paper to hold shape. Keep the BOA® dial fully released and the power strap loose to preserve the closure mechanism.
