Cleaning

Brush off dirt, mud, and salt with a stiff bristle brush after each outing. Wipe the high-stretch gaiter and high-tenacity Nylon® 6.6 upper with lukewarm water and mild soap; rinse and towel dry.

Drying

Air dry at room temperature away from direct heat or radiators. Loosen the lacing and open the Vortex™ Closure gaiter fully to allow airflow through the ePE GORE-TEX® Extended Comfort lining.

HoneyComb™ Guard

Inspect HoneyComb™ Guard zones for abrasion after technical climbing sections. The HoneyComb™ pattern is reinforcement — replace the gaiter if it wears through to the underlying Nylon® 6.6.

Waterproofing Refresh

Periodically revive the ePE GORE-TEX® Extended Comfort membrane's water repellency with a spray-on DWR treatment designed for technical mountaineering boots.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Open the Vortex™ Closure fully and lightly stuff with paper to hold the gaiter shape and absorb residual moisture.
