Mini Griptilian

The Mini Griptilian is the compact sibling of the Griptilian — the same proven grippy-handle workhorse DNA scaled down to a more pocket-friendly size. Built around Benchmade's signature AXIS lock and textured handle scales that put the "grip" in Griptilian, this is the folder for those who want the confidence of a substantial knife without the bulk of a full-size folder. At 2.81 ounces with a shorter closed length and a 2.91" blade, the Mini Griptilian rides more discreetly in dress slacks and smaller pockets while still handling boxes, packaging, food prep, and everyday utility tasks with ease. Made in Benchmade's Oregon City facility and backed by the LifeSharp lifetime service program, the Mini Griptilian is built for the long haul in a smaller package.

The Mini Griptilian is the smaller sibling of the Griptilian — same proven workhorse DNA in a more pocket-friendly package. Substantial in hand without the bulk of a full-size folder.
Textured Handle Scales
Molded handle scales with an aggressive grippy texture that gives the Mini Griptilian its name. Confident in-hand feel even when wet, gloved, or working at odd angles.
AXIS Lock Mechanism
Benchmade's ambidextrous AXIS lock uses spring-loaded assist bars for smooth, consistent one-handed opening and secure lockup. Fully ambidextrous for left- and right-handed users.
Drop-Point Blade
2.91" drop-point profile balances tip control and belly for everyday cutting tasks — boxes, packaging, rope, food prep, and field utility. A versatile workhorse geometry in a compact size.
Reversible Standard Pocket Clip

Cleaning
Wipe the blade and handle with a soft, dry cloth after each use. For deeper cleaning, rinse under warm water with mild soap, then dry thoroughly — especially the pivot area and lock interfaces. The textured handle scales can trap debris; a soft brush helps work out grit from the grip pattern.
Lubrication
Apply a small drop of light machine oil or knife-specific lubricant (such as Benchmade's BlueLube) to the AXIS lock bar interfaces and pivot every few months — or after cleaning. This keeps deployment smooth and prevents grit buildup in the lock mechanism.
Sharpening
The Mini Griptilian is covered by Benchmade's LifeSharp program: free lifetime professional sharpening, cleaning, oiling, and re-calibration. Send it in or visit any authorized Benchmade dealer. For home maintenance, use quality diamond or ceramic stones at the manufacturer's recommended angle; the AXIS lock makes full disassembly safe and straightforward.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry environment. The Mini Griptilian ships with a reversible pocket clip — remove the clip before long-term storage if you want to preserve spring tension. Avoid leather sheaths for long-term storage in humid climates (leather retains moisture).

Complete bikes typically ship within 2–3 weeks due to build, tuning, and inspection times. You will receive tracking information as soon as your order is ready to ship.

Riding Gear & Apparel:

Riding gear and apparel orders (helmets, jerseys, gloves, etc.) ship within 3-10 business days.

Returns & Exchanges:

If you received the wrong size or wish to exchange an item, it must be returned in original condition—unused, uninstalled, and with all packaging intact.
