Medium Snowboard

The Medium by Jake Kuzyk, completely redesigned for modern freestyle snowboarding — a classic round twin with a mostly-camber profile and predictable flex pattern, built alongside Jake and Kennedi Deck for all-inclusive sizing and design. The wider waist width adds the stability that freestyle progression demands, while the deep sidecut between the feet and smooth blend zones in the tip and tail keep the board nimble for low-speed street maneuvers. New Carbon Backbone™ runs tip-to-tail for snap without extra stiffness, and Carbon DarkWeb™ stringers lock in response where you load the board.

Carbon Backbone™
A new K2 pre-cambered carbon stringer that runs the full length of the board. Adds the snap and pop that freestyle riders want — ollies, presses, butters — without the extra torsional stiffness that would make the board feel locked into one carve path.
Carbon DarkWeb™
Carbon stringers placed underfoot and extending edge-to-edge, reducing the distance between edge transitions for faster, more responsive turns when you load the board.
BAP Core
K2's premium tri-blend wood core — three species of wood blended for the responsive, durable feel that freestyle snowboarding demands. Tuned per size for matched flex and rider weight.
Triax Fiberglass
A glass laminate with diagonal layers woven at 45°, 45°, and 0° — adds torsional stiffness for increased stability and improved edge hold, while keeping a more responsive ride longitudinally.
Camber Profile
Classic (mostly) camber profile — the predictable flex pattern Jake Kuzyk asked for, with the pop and edge hold freestyle riders expect from a full-camber build.
True Twin Shape
A round twin with classic twin flex — symmetrical outline and flex for switch riding, presses, and freestyle maneuvers in the streets or park.
Jake Kuzyk Pro Model
Designed with K2 Pro Jake Kuzyk and Kennedi Deck for all-inclusive sizing, flex pattern, and aesthetic. A tool built specifically for the modern freestyle rider who wants the classics done right.

Waxing
Wax every few riding days or any time the base looks dry, white, or slow. The Sintered 4000 base absorbs wax deeply — hot wax preferred for full saturation, rub-on for quick field top-ups. The stone finish speeds absorption.
Edge Tuning
Sharpen edges with a file or stone when they feel dull, after hitting rocks, or at the start of each season. The true twin shape supports switch riding, so detune the contact points symmetrically for a less catchy feel on rails and hardpack.
Storage
Store the board in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Keep it in a board bag or sleeve to protect the topsheet and base from scratches during transport.
Repairs
Wipe the base clean after each use and dry before storing. Repair base scratches and core shots promptly to prevent water damage. The Carbon Backbone runs the full length, so any binding-area core shot repairs should be done carefully to avoid the carbon stringer.
Binding Mounting
The 2 x 4 insert pattern lets you set stance width anywhere in the range. The true twin flex is designed for centered mounting, but a slight stance offset is fine for personal preference. Most freestyle riders prefer the centered, symmetrical mount.
