Women's Back-To-Berkeley IV Textile Waterproof Boots
Women's Back-To-Berkeley IV Textile Waterproof Boots
Boots · Waterproof · Winter

The Women's Back-To-Berkeley IV Textile Waterproof Boots bring back the classic look while delivering modern-day comfort. Our waterproof footwear incorporates a variety of advanced waterproofing materials, treatments, and processes — internal waterproof membranes and seam-seal constructions keep feet dry through cold, wet, and slushy conditions without the bulk of a traditional winter pac boot.

Benefits
Breathable
Material allows air and moisture vapor to pass through, helping regulate body temperature.
Wind
Fabric blocks wind from penetrating the boot, greatly reducing the effects of wind chill.
Grip Sole
Rubber compounds deliver grip, traction, and durability on both wet and dry surfaces.
Waterproof
Fabric provides a barrier to rain and snow for all-day dryness.
Recycled Material
Recycled content helps reduce landfill waste and the use of virgin materials.
Construction & Materials
Recycled P.E.T. Canvas Upper
Upper is made with 100% recycled P.E.T. canvas — the "textile" distinction from the leather version. Lighter, more breathable, and a more sustainable upper story.
DryVent™ Waterproof Membrane
Internal DryVent™ membrane creates a waterproof barrier while remaining breathable — keeps rain, slush, and snow out without trapping heat and sweat.
100% Recycled P.E.T. Mesh Lining
Mesh lining made entirely from recycled P.E.T. for moisture management and a soft next-to-sock feel.
Molded-EVA Midsole
Compression-molded EVA midsole — up to 51% of the EVA foam is made with ethylene from plant-based content (per ASTM D6866-16) rather than petroleum, reducing the boot's fossil-fuel footprint.
SURFACE CTRL™ Rubber Outsole
Optimized for weight and versatility. Made with 10% rubber sourced from smallholder farmers committed to agroforestry principles and regenerative agriculture practices — grippy traction on wet pavement, packed snow, and dry trails alike.
Compression-Molded TPU Heel Clip
External TPU heel clip adds lateral stability — keeps the heel locked in place on uneven sidewalks, slick surfaces, and off-camber terrain.
Leather Collar
Genuine leather collar around the ankle — durable, structured, and breaks in to fit the shape of your ankle over time. Sourced exclusively from Leather Working Group-certified tanneries.
Padded Tongue
Generously padded tongue for out-of-the-box comfort — no break-in period, no hot spots across the instep.
Suede Logo Patch & Rand
Suede patch at the tongue and rand detailing around the lower upper — the same heritage detailing as the leather version, dialed back here so the textile upper remains the visual focus.
Nickel-Free Metal Hardware
All metal hardware is nickel-free — a thoughtful detail for anyone with metal-sensitivity or nickel allergies.

Cleaning the Canvas Upper
Brush off loose dirt and dried mud with a soft-bristle brush. Spot-clean the recycled P.E.T. canvas with a damp cloth and a small amount of mild soap. Avoid harsh detergents or bleach — they can break down the water-repellent treatment on the canvas and weaken the recycled fibers.
Leather Collar Care
Wipe the leather collar with a slightly damp cloth to remove surface dirt. Condition occasionally with a leather conditioner or cream to keep the leather supple and prevent drying or cracking. Test any conditioner on an inconspicuous spot first.
Suede Patch & Rand
Brush suede gently with a suede brush to lift the nap and remove light scuffs. Avoid water on suede — it can leave marks. For tougher stains, use a suede eraser or a cleaner specifically formulated for suede.
DryVent™ Membrane
The waterproof membrane lives inside the boot — keep it clean by rinsing the inside with lukewarm water and allowing it to air-dry. Avoid heavy soaps inside the boot as they can clog the membrane's pores and reduce breathability.
Drying
Always air-dry at room temperature. Never place boots on a radiator, near a heater, in direct sunlight, or in a dryer — heat can delaminate the membrane, warp the EVA midsole, and damage the leather collar. Stuff with newspaper or use boot shapers to absorb moisture and hold the shaft shape while drying.
Salt & Slush Stains
In winter, road salt can leave white marks on the canvas upper. Wipe with a cloth dampened with a 50/50 mix of white vinegar and water, then wipe again with clean water. Dry thoroughly afterward.
Outsole Care
Rinse the SURFACE CTRL™ outsole with clean water to remove mud, gravel, and road grime. Check periodically for embedded stones in the tread — they can reduce grip and wear down the lug pattern.
Hardware
Wipe the nickel-free metal hardware with a dry cloth after exposure to salt or moisture to prevent tarnishing. Avoid chemical polishes — they're not formulated for nickel-free alloys.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Use boot shapers or stuff with paper to maintain shaft height and prevent creasing. Avoid storing in plastic bags — the DryVent™ membrane needs to breathe.
Water-Repellent Refresh
Over time the canvas upper's DWR (durable water repellent) finish will wear off. Refresh periodically with a spray-on water repellent formulated for fabric or canvas footwear — it helps the membrane perform and keeps the upper from absorbing water and staining.
