Thermal Merino Reversible Headband

The Thermal Merino Reversible Headband is streamlined, straightforward, and indispensable when the wind means business. It features a double-layer reversible knit so you can go again tomorrow with a whole new look.

100% Merino Wool — Pure Merino Performance
Fabric helps combine the moisture management, temperature regulation, and odor resistance of 100% Merino wool with interlock knit for comfort. No synthetic core, no nylon wrap, no elastane — pure Merino against the skin for the natural temperature regulation and odor resistance that pure Merino delivers. The interlock knit creates a dense, smooth, double-faced fabric that holds its shape, traps warm air, and feels soft against the ears and forehead without the itch a coarser wool blend can develop.
Double-Layer Construction
Double-layered knit — the headband is knit as two connected layers rather than a single layer folded over. The double-layer construction creates an air pocket between the two faces that traps warm air at the ears and forehead, adds wind resistance without a wind-blocking membrane, and gives the headband enough structure to stay in place during high-output movement without a tight elastic band that would create a pressure hot spot.
Reversible — Two Looks In One
Reversible knit so you can go again tomorrow with a whole new look — the headband is knit as a tube with two distinct faces (typically two complementary colorways), each face fully finished so either side can be worn out. No inside-out look, no exposed seams, no compromise on either side. One accessory covers two color-coordination options without buying a second headband.
Cleanly Finished Seams
Cleanly finished seams help create a bulk-free fit — the seam where the headband joins is finished flat rather than raised, so the headband lies smooth against the head without a bulk line that would show under a helmet, a hood, or a beanie. The bulk-free fit matters most under a ski helmet, where a raised seam would create a pressure point against the helmet's foam liner.
Ear Coverage Without Full Hat Bulk
The headband covers the ears and forehead — the highest heat-loss zones of the head — without the full coverage and full insulation of a beanie. The right tool when a full hat would overheat the top of the head during high-output activity (running, skin-track ascent, spring skiing) but bare ears would freeze. Worn alone in milder cold or layered under a helmet or hood for deeper cold.
Multi-Activity Versatility
Built for the cold-weather uses where ear coverage is the priority but full hat warmth is too much — cold-weather running, skin-track ascents, spring skiing, fall cycling, hiking in shoulder-season cold, and après-ski. The pure Merino handles the wide temperature range across high-output and low-output activity; the double-layer construction handles the wind chill on the ears; the reversible design handles the wardrobe versatility.
One-Size Convenience
One-size construction — the interlock knit's natural stretch and the headband's tube construction fit a wide range of head sizes without the fit inconsistency a sized headband would introduce. No size chart needed, no exchange required, no fit guessing; the headband conforms to the wearer's head via the knit's stretch rather than a specific cut.

Materials & Construction

Fabric Composition
100% Merino Wool. Exclusive of Decoration.
Knit Construction
Interlock knit, double-layer reversible tube
Seam Finish
Cleanly finished seams (bulk-free fit under helmet or hood)
Country of Origin
Made in Vietnam
Washing
Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle. The 100% Merino interlock knit benefits from isolated washing in cold water to protect the fabric's natural moisture-management and odor-resistant properties. Cold water protects the Merino fibers from shrinking and felting. Use a mild, technical wash; avoid fabric softeners (they coat the Merino fibers and reduce natural moisture management).
Drying
Tumble dry low. The 100% Merino interlock knit tolerates low-heat tumble drying without distorting the double-layer reversible construction or shrinking the pure Merino fibers. Low heat restores the loft of the interlock knit and the recovery of the tube shape. Do not tumble dry on medium or high heat; high heat can shrink the Merino and felt the interlock knit. Dry cleaning is also an acceptable care option for this piece.
Bleach & Iron
Do not bleach. Cool iron as needed. Bleach breaks down Merino wool fibers and degrades the interlock knit's structure. Iron only on low heat; high heat can scorch the pure Merino and flatten the double-layer loft.
Storage
Store flat or loosely folded in a dry, breathable space. Merino's natural odor resistance means the same headband covers multiple wear days between washes, which extends the fabric's lifespan. Flat storage preserves the reversible tube shape and the interlock knit's double-layer loft; crumpling the headband for long periods can compress the loft and distort the reversible tube.
