Micro Mini Kids' Snowboard 2027

The CAPiTA Micro Mini youth snowboard is the perfect board for kids getting their first experiences in snowboarding. Designed for catch-free riding, these boards provide an ideal turning and learning experience for beginning riders looking for an easy to access youth snowboard. With a true twin shape (0 taper), MICRO-GLASS™ fiberglass, youth-specific Poplar core with EVA Pad for small bindings, and XXX[TRUDED] extruded base, the Micro Mini is the smallest Capita board built for the youngest riders (3-6 year olds) who are just starting out.

True Twin Shape (0 Taper)
The Micro Mini features a true twin shape (0 taper on all sizes — confirmed by identical nose/tail measurements: 19.6/19.6, 20.7/20.7, 21.8/21.8). This symmetrical shape lets young riders learn switch riding, spin off jumps, and land tricks in either direction. The 34-38cm ref stance (smallest of any Capita board) is specifically designed for the smallest riders — bindings are mounted closer together for better control and easier turn initiation for the developing rider.
Catch-Free Riding Design
Designed for catch-free riding, the Micro Mini provides an ideal turning and learning experience for beginning riders. The softer flex and smaller sidecut make it nearly impossible to catch an edge — critical for young riders who are just learning the basics of snowboarding. The forgiving construction lets kids build confidence on the snow before progressing to more advanced shapes.
MICRO-GLASS™ Fiberglass Construction
This custom MICRO-GLASS™ configuration makes for a more durable yet lightweight board while providing the flexibility for kids to play on fun stuff like park jumps, bumps and boxes. The Micro Mini's construction is specifically tuned for the youngest riders — durable enough to handle the abuse of learning, flexible enough to make progression fun, and lightweight enough for the smallest riders to maneuver easily.
Youth-Specific Poplar Core
Poppy lightweight core with no irregularities for uniform flex and consistency. New wood core profiling for youth specific weight and flex optimization. The Micro Mini's core is specifically designed for young riders — the profiling ensures consistent flex across the board, while the lighter weight makes it easier for the smallest riders to control and maneuver.
EVA Pad for Small Bindings
EVA Pad to match core profiling which specifically fits smaller riders bindings on the Micro-Mini set up. A unique feature of the Micro Mini — the EVA pad is designed to accommodate the smaller binding disks used on kids' bindings, ensuring proper fit and function for the smallest riders. This attention to detail makes the Micro Mini a true kids-specific board, not just a scaled-down adult board.
XXX[TRUDED] Extruded Base
If there's one thing we know about kids and groms, it's that they can be hard on their gear and they're never going to wax their snowboard. The XXX[TRUDED] base material is a high density extruded base material that is durable and low maintenance. The relative surface strength equals a base that will withstand the abuse of learning to ride — built for kids who don't want to fuss with base care.

After Use
Wipe down the base with a dry cloth to remove snow and moisture. The Micro Mini's compact size makes it easy to store and transport. The true twin shape means both ends see equal wear — rotate the board or flip it periodically to distribute wear evenly as the young rider progresses.
Base & Edge Maintenance
The XXX[TRUDED] extruded base is specifically designed for kids who don't wax — it's durable and low maintenance. The high density extruded construction is more damage-resistant than sintered bases, perfect for the abuse of learning to ride. The very soft flex means less pressure on edges, so less frequent sharpening is needed compared to adult boards. The catch-free design helps young riders avoid catching edges in the first place.
Storage
Store the board flat or on its base in a board bag, away from direct sunlight and extreme heat. The Micro Mini's ultra-compact size (80-100cm) makes it easy to store anywhere. The youth-specific Poplar core is stable but can be more sensitive to prolonged high temperatures than heavier boards — avoid leaving the board in a hot car or garage.
Binding Compatibility
The Micro Mini uses the standard 4x2 or 2x4 mounting pattern, compatible with all major kids' binding brands. The unique EVA Pad "to match core profiling which specifically fits smaller riders bindings" ensures proper fit and function for the smallest bindings on the market (Burton Grom, Union Cadet Micro, or NOW Junior). The very soft flex and catch-free design make this the perfect first snowboard for kids getting their first experiences on snow.
