Inspired by Jess Kimura's progression from the streets to the backcountry, The CAPiTA Equalizer was born to level the playing field on the mountain and offer riders a high-end all-mountain option designed specifically for women. With a true twin shape (0 taper), P2 Superlight Core™ + Beech stringers, Holysheet™ fiberglass, TECHNORA™ + Flax fiber reinforcement, and Quantum Drive™ base, the Equalizer delivers pro-model construction in a women's-specific package for all-mountain progression.
True Twin Shape (0 Taper)
The Equalizer features a true twin shape (0 taper on all sizes — confirmed by near-identical nose/tail measurements: 27.3/27.2, 27.9/27.8, 28.5/28.4, 29.1/29.1). This symmetrical shape lets you ride switch in the park, spin off jumps, and land freestyle tricks in either direction. Inspired by Jess Kimura's "progression from the streets to the backcountry" — the true twin design works for both park and backcountry freestyle.
P2 Superlight Core™ + Beech Stringers
We took our extremely lightweight P2 Superlight Core™, added high bending and shock absorbing Beech stringers running through the inserts for increased strength and even snappier pop. The Equalizer's core is built for the women's-specific demands of pro-level all-mountain riding — light enough for park laps and backcountry touring, strong enough for halfpipe drops and variable conditions. The bamboo-like snap of the beech stringers adds the pop and responsiveness needed for freestyle progression.
HOLYSHEET™ Fiberglass
HOLYSHEET™ Fiberglass configuration features fiber weaves with a high tensile strength and low modulus of elasticity. With a higher roving count in the same weight of glass, you get a stronger and more responsive board without adding extra weight. The high-end fiberglass pairing ensures the Equalizer can handle aggressive all-mountain charging and park freestyle while keeping the responsive feel the pro-model construction is known for.
TECHNORA™ + Flax Fiber Reinforcement
With an excellent tensile strength and fatigue resistance, TECHNORA™ is an aramid fiber that functions as a shock absorber and energy source when integrated into a snowboard construction layup. CAPiTA has interwoven TECHNORA™ with an extremely lightweight and all-natural Flax fiber to invigorate every ride with response and dampening — the same premium reinforcement used in the men's Navigator Split, Kazu Kokubo Pro, The Matriarch, and the Birds of a Feather.
QUANTUM DRIVE™ Base
The QUANTUM DRIVE™ running base is formulated with a progressive blend of compressed ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene. As an evolution from the already blazing fast ULTRADRIVE™, this running base features higher density for durability and absorbs more wax to wick longer and ride faster. Pro-grade sintered base material — the same as the Birds of a Feather and the men's premium Capita boards, built for high-speed charging in all snow conditions.

After Use
Wipe down the base with a dry cloth to remove snow and moisture. The PLT topsheet finish is durable and easy to clean — just a quick wipe with a dry cloth after each session. The true twin shape means both ends see equal wear — rotate your binding stance periodically if you ride predominantly switch to ensure even base wear. Base & Edge Maintenance
The QUANTUM DRIVE base is a pro-grade sintered material — holds wax exceptionally well and is built for high-speed charging. Wax regularly — every 4-6 days of riding, or whenever the base looks dry or white. The true twin shape means both edges see equal wear — sharpen both edges regularly to maintain switch performance. The TECHNORA + Flax reinforcement is more environmentally friendly than traditional carbon but requires the same care.
Storage
Store the board flat or on its base in a board bag, away from direct sunlight and extreme heat. The P2 Superlight Core with Beech stringers and TECHNORA + Flax are stable but the natural flax components can be more sensitive to prolonged high temperatures than standard synthetic materials — avoid leaving the board in a hot car or garage. The true twin shape and lightweight construction make it easy to store and transport.
Binding Compatibility
The Equalizer uses the standard 4x2 or 2x4 mounting pattern, compatible with all major women's binding brands. The true twin shape means bindings should be mounted centered for balanced switch riding. The medium-stiff flex and pro-level construction pair well with medium-stiff to stiff women's all-mountain bindings (like the Union Juliet, Burton Lexa, or NOW Vetta).
