Space Metal Fantasy Women's Snowboard 2027

DescriptionKey FeaturesSpecificationsCare

Easy to ride, the CAPiTA Space Metal women's snowboard is the go-to series for beginner and intermediate riders looking to expedite their progression and advanced riders looking for a fun and accessibly priced resort and park freestyle snowboard. With a true twin shape (0 taper), Poplar + Beech core, Special Blend fiberglass with Magic Bean resin, and the Superdrive base, the Space Metal Fantasy is the most affordable women's CAPiTA board — built for the woman who wants a versatile true twin for all-mountain freestyle progression at the lowest price point in the women's line.

True Twin Shape (0 Taper)

The Space Metal Fantasy features a true twin shape (0 taper on all sizes — confirmed by identical nose/tail measurements: 27.2/27.2, 27.6/27.6, 27.8/27.8, 28.1/28.1, 28.4/28.4, 28.6/28.6, 28.8/28.8, 29.1/29.1). This symmetrical shape lets you ride switch in the park, spin off jumps, and land freestyle tricks in either direction. Perfect for the woman who wants true twin versatility for park laps, switch riding, and freestyle progression at the most accessible price point in the women's line.

Poplar + Beech Core

Poppy lightweight Poplar core combined with Beech for increased power and durability. The Space Metal Fantasy's core is built for the women's-specific demands of beginner and intermediate progression — light enough for easy turn initiation, strong enough for the durability needed to handle the learning curve. The Poplar + Beech blend delivers the pop and responsiveness needed for park progression without the weight penalty of heavier cores.

Special Blend + Magic Bean™ Resin

SPECIAL BLEND is an eco-friendly wet lay-up process that uses CAPiTA's MAGIC BEAN™ resin component requiring lower consumption of energy and yielding higher technical properties. This adhesion process improves the factory's working environment, as it does not contain some of the same harsh chemical characteristics of standard polyester resins. Eco-friendly without sacrificing performance — the same resin system used across the entry-level and Spring Break CAPiTA lines.

PLT Topsheet Technology™

PLT Topsheet Technology™ is exclusive to CAPiTA MFG and magically bonds the topsheet to an already pressed snowboard. This produces a featherlight, smooth, high-gloss finish, without using any solvents or toxic lacquers in finishing. The lightweight topsheet is critical for the Space Metal Fantasy's accessible all-mountain performance — the stripped-down construction keeps the price accessible while maintaining CAPiTA's premium quality.

Superdrive™ Base

The SUPERDRIVE™ base material lives in the Sintrured category of boards that deliver benefits of both sintered and extruded bases. These bases take the characteristics and manufacturing techniques used in creating extruded base material, but due to higher pressure and temperature, increase the surface hardness to levels near most sintered bases. This expands the durability and surface strength while retaining a low maintenance and carefree lifespan — perfect for the progressing rider who wants a board that's easy to maintain.

After Use

Wipe down the base with a dry cloth to remove snow and moisture. The PLT topsheet finish is durable and easy to clean — just a quick wipe with a dry cloth after each session. The true twin shape means both ends see equal wear — rotate your binding stance periodically if you ride predominantly switch to ensure even base wear. The accessible price point doesn't mean skimping on maintenance basics.

Base & Edge Maintenance

The Superdrive sintrured base is more durable and lower-maintenance than sintered bases, making it ideal for the beginner/intermediate rider. Wax regularly — every 5-7 days of riding, or whenever the base looks dry or white. The base holds wax well and is easy to repair if scratched. The true twin shape means both edges see equal wear — sharpen both edges regularly to maintain switch performance. The stripped-down 4-layer construction keeps maintenance simple.

Storage

Store the board flat or on its base in a board bag, away from direct sunlight and extreme heat. The Poplar + Beech core with Magic Bean resin is stable but can be more sensitive to prolonged high temperatures than heavier cores — avoid leaving the board in a hot car or garage. The Space Metal Fantasy's stripped-down construction makes it easy to maintain and store.

Binding Compatibility

The Space Metal Fantasy uses the standard 4x2 or 2x4 mounting pattern, compatible with all major women's binding brands. The true twin shape means bindings should be mounted centered for balanced switch riding. The soft flex pairs well with soft to medium-flex women's all-mountain bindings (like the Union Contact, Burton Citizen, or NOW Vetta). Built for the woman who wants an accessible, versatile true twin for park progression and all-mountain freestyle at the lowest price point in the women's CAPiTA line.
