Resort Powder Directional Shape (12-15mm Taper)
The Navigator features a directional shape with significant progressive taper (12mm at 155, 15mm at 167) — "sinking tapered tail and wide-frame rockered nose." The tapered tail sinks deep in powder for natural float, while the wide-frame rockered nose planes on top of the snow and absorbs landings. The 3-stage multi-radius sidecut (8.0/6.8/8.0 to 8.7/7.6/8.7) provides progressive turn shapes — tighter in the center for quick edge-to-edge, wider at the contact points for stability at speed.
Premium Lightweight Core
An energetic premium core that is ultralight and strong with excellent dampening properties. The Navigator's core is built for the powder-specific demands of the resort — light enough to float effortlessly in deep snow, strong enough to charge variable conditions. The dampening properties smooth out chatter at high speeds and absorb landings in variable backcountry terrain.
Holysheet™ Fiberglass
HOLYSHEET™ Fiberglass configuration features fiber weaves with a high tensile strength and low modulus of elasticity. With a higher roving count in the same weight of glass, you get a stronger and more responsive board without adding extra weight. The high-end fiberglass pairing ensures the Navigator can handle aggressive powder charging while keeping the responsive feel the directional shape is known for.
TECHNORA™ + Flax Fiber Reinforcement
With an excellent tensile strength and fatigue resistance, TECHNORA™ is an aramid fiber that functions as a shock absorber and energy source when integrated into a snowboard construction layup. CAPiTA has interwoven TECHNORA™ with an extremely lightweight and all-natural Flax fiber to invigorate every ride with response and dampening — the same premium reinforcement used in the Navigator Split and Kazu Kokubo Pro.
Specially Treated Pure Wood Veneer Topsheet
Specially treated pure wood veneer topsheet with a unique tactile feel that is 220gm lighter than the standard process. The Navigator's wood veneer topsheet is a distinctive feature — the lightweight wood construction reduces overall board weight while maintaining the structural integrity needed for powder charging. The unique tactile feel sets it apart from standard plastic topsheets.

After Use
Wipe down the base with a dry cloth to remove snow and moisture. The Navigator's pure wood veneer topsheet is durable but the natural wood material should be kept dry to prevent moisture damage — store the board in a cool, dry place with bindings loose or removed. The directional shape means the tail takes more wear than the nose — rotate or flip the board periodically if you want to distribute wear evenly.
Base & Edge Maintenance
The Custom Sintec base is CAPiTA's premium race-quality sintered material — holds wax exceptionally well and is built for high-speed charging. Wax regularly — every 4-6 days of riding, or whenever the base looks dry or white. The directional shape puts more pressure on the tail edge than the nose — sharpen the tail edge more frequently to maintain the directional performance. The TECHNORA + Flax reinforcement is more environmentally friendly than traditional carbon but requires the same care.
Storage
Store the board flat or on its base in a board bag, away from direct sunlight and extreme heat. The Premium Lightweight Core and TECHNORA + Flax are stable but the natural wood veneer topsheet and natural flax components can be more sensitive to prolonged high temperatures than standard synthetic materials — avoid leaving the board in a hot car or garage. The directional shape and progressive taper add durability for transport and storage.
Binding Compatibility
The Navigator uses the standard 4x2 or 2x4 mounting pattern, compatible with all major binding brands. The directional shape with 12-15mm progressive taper means bindings should be mounted toward the tail (1-3cm back from center, depending on size) for proper directional performance and powder float. The medium-stiff flex and directional shape pair well with medium-stiff to stiff all-mountain/freeride bindings (like the Union Atlas, Burton Cartel X, or NOW Drive). Built for the rider who wants a traditional-width directional powder board for resort powder days.
