The original innovative short-board, The Spring Break Slush Slasher is the playful mini resort and powder snowboard that changed the game. With progressive taper (20-35mm depending on size) for powder float, extra-wide waist (26.3-26.6cm) for platform stability, and ultra-short lengths (143-155cm) for maximum maneuverability, the Slush Slashers is the original innovative short-board that redefined what a mini board could do. Built for spring slush sessions, tight trees, and powder mornings when you want something fun and surfy instead of a long charger.

Progressive Tapered Directional Shape (20-35mm)
The Slush Slashers features a progressive tapered directional shape — the taper INCREASES with size (20mm at 143, 25mm at 147, 30mm at 151, 35mm at 155). This means the bigger sizes have more taper for more powder float, while the smaller sizes have less taper for a more freestyle-friendly feel. The tapered tail sinks in powder for natural float, while the wider nose planes on top of the snow. Combined with the ultra-short length (143-155cm), the Slush Slashers is incredibly maneuverable in tight terrain.
Poplar + Beech Core
Poppy lightweight Poplar core combined with Beech for increased power and durability. The same proven core construction used across the CAPiTA line — Poplar for the lightweight, snappy feel, and Beech for the power and durability needed to hold up to the playful abuse of mini-board riding. A reliable, time-tested core recipe that balances pop, dampening, and longevity for a board that's built to be ridden hard in all conditions.
Special Blend + Magic Bean™ Resin
SPECIAL BLEND is an eco-friendly wet lay-up process that uses CAPiTA's MAGIC BEAN™ resin component requiring lower consumption of energy and yielding higher technical properties. This adhesion process improves the factory's working environment, as it does not contain some of the same harsh chemical characteristics of standard polyester resins. Eco-friendly without sacrificing performance — the same resin system used across the entry-level and Spring Break CAPiTA lines.
Superdrive™ Base
The SUPERDRIVE™ base material lives in the Sintrured category of boards that deliver benefits of both sintered and extruded bases. These bases take the characteristics and manufacturing techniques used in creating extruded base material, but due to higher pressure and temperature, increase the surface hardness to levels near most sintered bases. This expands the durability and surface strength while retaining a low maintenance and carefree lifespan — perfect for the playful Slush Slasher rider.
Aluminum Tail Plate
Integrated into the tail, this high-strength aluminum plate adds a layer of durability — protecting against impact, while enhancing power transfer and stability. The aluminum tail plate is a unique feature of the Slush Slashers that reinforces the tail against the abuse of buttering, presses, and jibbing. It's a premium touch that adds durability where the board sees the most wear — the tail contact zone.

After Use
Wipe down the base with a dry cloth to remove snow and moisture. The Slush Slashers' stripped-down construction makes it easy to maintain — no fancy topsheet finish, just a functional base that needs basic care. The aluminum tail plate adds durability but doesn't require special maintenance. Store the board in a cool, dry place with bindings loose or removed.
Base & Edge Maintenance
The Superdrive sintrured base is more durable and lower-maintenance than sintered bases, making it ideal for the playful Slush Slasher rider. Wax regularly — every 5-7 days of riding, or whenever the base looks dry or white. The short length and aluminum tail plate mean edges see less wear than a long board — sharpening can be less frequent. The flat kick contact points may need occasional base repair if the elevated zones get dinged.
Storage
Store the board flat or on its base in a board bag, away from direct sunlight and extreme heat. The Poplar + Beech core with Magic Bean resin is stable but can be more sensitive to prolonged high temperatures than standard cores — avoid leaving the board in a hot car or garage. The short length makes it easy to store anywhere — most board bags accommodate the Slush Slashers easily.
Binding Compatibility
The Slush Slashers uses the standard 4x2 or 2x4 mounting pattern, compatible with all major binding brands. The directional shape with progressive taper means bindings should be mounted toward the tail (1-3cm back from center, depending on size) for proper powder float and tail control. The soft-medium flex and short length pair well with soft to medium-flex freestyle bindings (like the Union Contact, Burton Custom, or NOW Vetta). The short length and extra-wide waist make this a great board for riders who want a playful, maneuverable mini board for slush sessions and tight trees.
