The Spring Break Powder Twin is a rarely seen symmetrical approach to freestyle powder riding, a displacement twin for stomping powder landings in either direction. With a true twin shape (0 taper), ultra-wide waist (26.4-27.9cm), and a longer effective edge than typical powder boards, the Powder Twin delivers the float and surfy feel of the Spring Break series with the freestyle versatility of a true twin. Built for the rider who wants to ride switch in powder, land freestyle tricks in deep snow, and experience the float of a wide-body shape without sacrificing the switch capability of a true twin.

True Twin Displacement Hull

Unlike the directional Glider and Racers in the Spring Break powder line, the Powder Twin features a true twin shape (0 taper on all sizes — confirmed by identical nose/tail measurements: 31.0/31.0, 31.6/31.6, 32.2/32.2, 32.8/32.8). This "displacement twin" shape lets you ride switch in powder, land freestyle tricks in deep snow, and experience the float of a wide-body shape without sacrificing switch capability. The wider waist (26.4-27.9cm) provides platform stability and float — the symmetrical shape adds freestyle versatility.

P2 Superlight Core™ + Beech Stringers

We took our extremely lightweight P2 Superlight Core™, added high bending and shock absorbing Beech stringers running through the inserts for increased strength and even snappier pop. The P2 Superlight Core delivers the ultralight weight needed for powder float, while the Beech stringers add the strength and pop needed for freestyle landings. The result is a core that's light enough to float effortlessly but strong enough to handle switch landings and aggressive riding.

Holysheet™ Fiberglass

HOLYSHEET™ Fiberglass configuration features fiber weaves with a high tensile strength and low modulus of elasticity. With a higher roving count in the same weight of glass, you can have a stronger and more responsive board without adding extra weight. The high-end fiberglass pairing ensures the Powder Twin can handle switch landings and aggressive freestyle riding while keeping the ultralight weight needed for powder float.

Carbon Fiber Additives

Known for its rigidity, high-tensile strength, low weight, high-temperature tolerance, and low thermal expansion, Carbon Fiber is one of the most popular materials used in today's high-performance applications. CAPiTA integrates different adaptations of carbon fiber to increase power and response — strategic placement for added pop and edge hold without the weight penalty of full carbon layups. Critical for the Powder Twin's switch freestyle capability.

PLT Topsheet Technology™

PLT Topsheet Technology™ is exclusive to CAPiTA MFG and magically bonds the topsheet to an already pressed snowboard. This produces a featherlight, smooth, high-gloss finish, without using any solvents or toxic lacquers in finishing. The lightweight topsheet is critical for the Powder Twin's ultralight feel — every gram matters when you're floating in deep snow.

After Use

Wipe down the base with a dry cloth to remove snow and moisture. The PLT Topsheet finish is durable and easy to clean — just a quick wipe with a dry cloth after each session. The Powder Twin's symmetrical shape means both ends see equal wear — rotate your binding stance periodically if you ride predominantly switch to ensure even base wear.

Base & Edge Maintenance

The Powder Drive base is custom-formulated for the extra-wide chassis and is easy to maintain — designed for the deep snow rider who doesn't want to fuss with base care. Wax regularly — every 4-6 days of riding, or whenever the base looks dry or white. The true twin shape means both edges see equal wear — sharpen both edges regularly to maintain switch performance.

Storage

Store the board flat or on its base in a board bag, away from direct sunlight and extreme heat. The P2 Superlight Core + Beech Stringers is ultralight but can be more sensitive to prolonged high temperatures than heavier cores — avoid leaving the board in a hot car or garage. The true twin shape stores easily in most board bags.

Binding Compatibility

The Powder Twin is a true twin with inserts centered on the board — standard 4x2 or 2x4 mounting pattern, compatible with all major binding brands. The medium-stiff flex and true twin shape pair well with medium-stiff to stiff all-mountain/freestyle bindings (like the Union Atlas, Burton Cartel, or NOW Drive). The true twin shape means bindings should be mounted centered for balanced switch riding. The wider waist (26.4-27.9cm) and symmetrical shape make this a great board for switch freestyle in powder.
