Directional Tapered Shape (31-33mm)

The Powder Racers features a directional shape with 31-33mm taper (depending on size) — significant for powder float while maintaining edge-to-edge responsiveness on groomers. The tapered tail sinks in powder for natural float, while the wider nose planes on top of the snow. The longer effective edge (1038-1094mm — compared to the Powder Glider's 925-973mm) makes this board more versatile for groomer carving and higher-speed descents, not just deep snow.

Premium Lightweight Core

An energetic premium core that is ultralight and strong with excellent dampening properties. The Powder Racers uses a simplified core construction compared to the Powder Glider's Surflite 4.0 Core — still lightweight and dampening, but with a different layup that contributes to the accessible price point while maintaining the surf-inspired feel. The core is built for the powder-specific demands of the Spring Break series.

Holysheet™ Fiberglass

HOLYSHEET™ Fiberglass configuration features fiber weaves with a high tensile strength and low modulus of elasticity. With a higher roving count in the same weight of glass, you can have a stronger and more responsive board without adding extra weight. The high-end fiberglass pairing ensures the Powder Racers can handle groomer carving and powder lines alike while keeping the ultralight weight needed for powder float.

TECHNORA™ + Flax Fiber Reinforcement

With an excellent tensile strength and fatigue resistance, TECHNORA™ is an aramid fiber that functions as a shock absorber and energy source when integrated into a snowboard construction layup. CAPiTA has interwoven TECHNORA™ with an extremely lightweight and all-natural Flax fiber to invigorate every ride with response and dampening — the same premium reinforcement used in the Navigator Split and Kazu Kokubo Pro.

PLT Topsheet Technology™

PLT Topsheet Technology™ is exclusive to CAPiTA MFG and magically bonds the topsheet to an already pressed snowboard. This produces a featherlight, smooth, high-gloss finish, without using any solvents or toxic lacquers in finishing. The lightweight topsheet is critical for the Powder Racers' surfy, ultralight feel — every gram matters when you're surfing deep snow.

Powder Drive™ Base

Dynamic and durable, easy to maintain and reliable, this base material is electric through the trees and fast over the flats. After Use

Wipe down the base with a dry cloth to remove snow and moisture. The PLT Topsheet finish is durable and easy to clean — just a quick wipe with a dry cloth after each session. The Powder Racers' lightweight construction is built for both powder and groomer days — dry the board completely before storing to prevent any moisture damage to the premium core.

Base & Edge Maintenance

The Powder Drive base is custom-formulated for the extra-wide chassis and is easy to maintain — designed for the deep snow rider who doesn't want to fuss with base care. Wax regularly — every 4-6 days of riding, or whenever the base looks dry or white. The longer effective edge (1038-1094mm) means the board sees more edge contact on groomers — sharpen edges regularly to maintain the carving capability for which the Powder Racers is designed.

Storage

Store the board flat or on its base in a board bag, away from direct sunlight and extreme heat. The premium lightweight core is ultralight but can be more sensitive to prolonged high temperatures than heavier cores — avoid leaving the board in a hot car or garage. The short, wide shape stores easily in most board bags.

Binding Compatibility

The Powder Racers uses the standard 4x2 or 2x4 mounting pattern, compatible with all major binding brands. The directional shape with 31-33mm taper means bindings should be mounted toward the tail (1-2cm back from center) for proper powder float and tail control. The medium flex and directional shape pair well with medium all-mountain/freeride bindings (like the Union Atlas, Burton Cartel, or NOW Drive). The longer effective edge and accessible flex make this a great board for riders who want one board that handles both deep snow and groomer carving.
