Sidewinder Men's Snowboard 2027

Shifty, yet easy to control, the Sidewinder maximizes groomers and shines in powder for all ability levels. The directional shape with 15mm taper provides powder float and quick turn initiation, while the multi-radius sidecut and accessible flex make it approachable for less experienced riders. Built for the rider who wants one board that handles groomer days and powder mornings without the premium price tag of the higher-end CAPiTA line.

Directional Tapered Shape (15mm)
The Sidewinder features a directional shape with a significant 15mm taper (nose longer than tail) on all sizes. The tapered tail sinks in powder for natural float and quick turn initiation, while the wider nose planes on top of the snow. On groomers, the directional shape still rides switchable for freestyle maneuvers, but the taper makes it naturally surfy and forgiving in turns.
Poplar + Beech Core
Poppy lightweight Poplar core combined with Beech for increased power and durability. The same proven core construction used across the CAPiTA line — Poplar for the lightweight, snappy feel, and Beech for the power and durability needed to hold up to hardpack days and powder lines. A reliable, time-tested core recipe that balances pop, dampening, and longevity.
Special Blend + Magic Bean™ Resin
SPECIAL BLEND is an eco-friendly wet lay-up process that uses CAPiTA's MAGIC BEAN™ resin component requiring lower consumption of energy and yielding higher technical properties. This adhesion process improves the factory's working environment, as it does not contain some of the same harsh chemical characteristics of standard polyester resins. Eco-friendly without sacrificing performance — the same resin system used across the CAPiTA line.
Carbon Fiber Additives
Known for its rigidity, high-tensile strength, low weight, high-temperature tolerance, and low thermal expansion, Carbon Fiber is one of the most popular materials used in today's high-performance applications. CAPiTA integrates different adaptations of carbon fiber to increase power and response on a wide range of models — strategic placement for added pop and edge hold without the weight penalty of full carbon layups.
Quantum Drive™ Base
The QUANTUM DRIVE™ running base is formulated with a progressive blend of compressed ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene. As an evolution from the already blazing fast ULTRADRIVE™, this running base features higher density for durability and absorbs more wax to wick longer and ride faster. Pro-grade sintered base material that holds up to the abuse of groomer carving and powder lines alike.
Multi-Radius Sidecut
The multi-radius sidecut (e.g., 6.6/6.25 for the 153, 7.0/6.5 for the 159) provides progressive turn shapes — tighter in the center for quick edge-to-edge, wider at the contact points for stability at speed. The "shifty, yet easy to control" feel comes from this multi-radius design: the board turns easily at low speeds but stays planted when you push it. Built for the rider who wants versatility across groomers and powder.

After Use
Wipe down the base with a dry cloth to remove snow and moisture. The Sidewinder's stripped-down construction makes it easy to maintain — no fancy topsheet finish to worry about, just a functional base that needs basic care. Store the board in a cool, dry place with bindings loose or removed.
Base & Edge Maintenance
The Quantum Drive base is a pro-grade sintered material that holds wax exceptionally well and is built for high-speed charging. Wax regularly — every 4-6 days of riding, or whenever the base looks dry or white. The base absorbs more wax than standard extruded or lower-density sintered bases, so expect to use a bit more wax per session. Sharpen edges with a proper edge file or take to a shop at the first sign of dulling. The 15mm taper and directional shape put consistent pressure on the tail edge — keep it sharp for best performance.
Storage
Store the board flat or on its base in a board bag, away from direct sunlight and extreme heat. The Poplar + Beech core with carbon additives is stable but the eco-friendly Magic Bean resin can be more sensitive to prolonged high temperatures than standard resins — avoid leaving the board in a hot car or garage. Use a board sock or bag for transport to prevent scratches and protect the base from UV damage.
Binding Compatibility
The Sidewinder uses the standard 4x2 or 2x4 mounting pattern, compatible with all major binding brands. The directional shape with 15mm taper means bindings should be mounted slightly back from center (typically 1-2cm toward the tail) for proper powder float and tail control. The medium flex and directional shape pair well with medium all-mountain/freeride bindings (like the Union Atlas, Burton Cartel, or NOW Drive). The multi-radius sidecut and accessible flex make this a great board for progressing riders who want to explore directional shapes.
