Outerspace Living Men's Snowboard 2027

DescriptionKey FeaturesSpecificationsCare

Lightweight and versatile, The CAPiTA Outerspace Living snowboard is the ideal series for intermediate all-terrain freeriders looking to progress their riding with a snowboard at an affordable price. True Twin shape for switch riding, traditional camber underfoot for predictable performance, and a wide size range (11 sizes from 148 to 161W) make this the perfect board for riders who want one board that handles everything from groomers to side hits to park laps — without the premium price tag of the higher-end CAPiTA line.

PLT Topsheet Technology™

PLT Topsheet Technology™ is exclusive to CAPiTA MFG and magically bonds the topsheet to an already pressed snowboard. This produces a featherlight, smooth, high-gloss finish, without using any solvents or toxic lacquers in finishing. Eco-friendly and lightweight — the same premium topsheet used across the CAPiTA line, regardless of price point.

Poplar + Beech Core

Poppy lightweight Poplar core combined with Beech for increased power and durability. Newly reengineered to taper between the insert packs for a more forgiving flex — softer in the tip and tail for pressability, stiffer through the inserts for edge hold and pop. The forgiving flex makes the Outerspace Living accessible to progressing riders while still providing the snap and response needed for all-terrain riding.

Special Blend + Magic Bean™ Resin

SPECIAL BLEND is an eco-friendly wet lay-up process that uses CAPiTA's MAGIC BEAN™ resin component requiring lower consumption of energy and yielding higher technical properties. This adhesion process improves the factory's working environment, as it does not contain some of the same harsh chemical characteristics of standard polyester resins. Eco-friendly without sacrificing performance.

Carbon Fiber Additives

Known for its rigidity, high-tensile strength, low weight, high-temperature tolerance, and low thermal expansion, Carbon Fiber is one of the most popular materials used in today's high-performance applications. CAPiTA integrates different adaptations of carbon fiber to increase power and response — strategic placement for added pop and edge hold without the weight penalty of full carbon layups.

Superdrive™ Base

The SUPERDRIVE™ base material lives in the Sintruded category of boards that deliver benefits of both sintered and extruded bases. These bases take the characteristics and manufacturing techniques used in creating extruded base material, but due to higher pressure and temperature, increase the surface hardness to levels near most sintered bases. This expands the durability and surface strength while retaining a low maintenance and carefree lifespan — perfect for the intermediate rider.

True Twin + Radial Sidecut

True Twin shape (0 taper) for switch riding and balanced approach angles in either direction. The radial sidecut (single radius per size, 7.5-8.1m depending on size) provides smooth, consistent turns across the entire contact length — predictable, easy-to-ride feel that's perfect for progressing riders. The Outerspace Living's forgiving flex and consistent sidecut make it one of the most accessible boards in the CAPiTA line.

After Use

Wipe down the bases with a dry cloth to remove snow and moisture. The PLT Topsheet finish is durable and easy to clean — just a quick wipe with a dry cloth after each session. Store the board in a cool, dry place with bindings loose or removed.

Base & Edge Maintenance

The Superdrive sintrured base is more durable and lower-maintenance than sintered bases, making it ideal for the intermediate rider. Wax regularly — every 5-7 days of riding, or whenever the bases look dry or white. The base holds wax well and is easy to repair if scratched. Sharpen edges with a proper edge file or take to a shop at the first sign of dulling.

Storage

Store the board flat or on its base in a board bag, away from direct sunlight and extreme heat. The Poplar + Beech core with carbon additives is stable but the eco-friendly Magic Bean resin can be more sensitive to prolonged high temperatures than standard resins — avoid leaving the board in a hot car or garage. Use a board sock or bag for transport to prevent scratches and protect the PLT Topsheet finish.

Binding Compatibility

The Outerspace Living is a True Twin with inserts centered on the board — standard 4x2 or 2x4 mounting pattern, compatible with all major binding brands. The soft-medium flex and forgiving tapered core pair well with soft to medium-flex all-mountain bindings (like the Union Contact, Burton Custom, or NOW Vetta). The True Twin shape means bindings should be mounted centered for balanced switch riding. The accessible flex makes this a great board for progressing riders who want a forgiving setup.
