PLT Topsheet Technology™
PLT Topsheet Technology™ is exclusive to CAPiTA MFG and magically bonds the topsheet to an already pressed snowboard. This produces a featherlight, smooth, high-gloss finish, without using any solvents or toxic lacquers in finishing. Eco-friendly and lightweight — reduces overall board weight while maintaining the premium look and feel.
Premium Ultralight Core
An energetic premium core that is ultralight and strong with excellent dampening properties. The Mercury core is built for all-terrain versatility — light enough for park laps and side hits, strong enough for resort charging and powder days. The dampening properties smooth out chatter at high speeds and absorb landings in the park.
Holysheet™ Fiberglass
HOLYSHEET™ Fiberglass configuration features fiber weaves with a high tensile strength and low modulus of elasticity. With a higher roving count in the same weight of glass, you can have a stronger and more responsive board without adding extra weight. The responsive feel pairs perfectly with the Mercury's all-terrain versatility.
Amplitex™ Flax/Carbon Reinforcement
Amplitex™ is a next-generation natural flax fiber woven with carbon strands that is featured in CAPiTA's high-end snowboard constructions. This fusion tape brings the best of two worlds: the reactive energy of carbon and the lightweight and dampening aspects of flax. The two fibers are highly compatible — power without the chatter, with natural flax adding eco-friendly dampening.
HYPERDRIVE™ Base
Custom formulated and exclusive to The Mothership, CAPiTA's engineers have worked tirelessly with the world's leading polyethylene running base supplier to create HYPERDRIVE. With exceptional anti-friction properties due to high molecular mass and specialized processing aids, this sintered material has a higher carbon content for lightspeed gliding in a wide range of snow conditions. After Use
Wipe down the bases with a dry cloth to remove snow and moisture. The PLT Topsheet finish is durable and easy to clean — just a quick wipe with a dry cloth after each session. Store the board in a cool, dry place with bindings loose or removed.
Base & Edge Maintenance
The HYPERDRIVE base is CAPiTA's premium sintered material with high carbon content. Wax regularly — every 4-6 days of riding, or whenever the bases look dry or white. The sintered construction holds wax well and is built for all-terrain abuse. Sharpen edges with a proper edge file or take to a shop at the first sign of dulling, especially after rail or rock contact.
Storage
Store the board flat or on its base in a board bag, away from direct sunlight and extreme heat. The Amplitex™ flax/carbon reinforcement is stable but the premium ultralight core can be sensitive to prolonged high temperatures — avoid leaving the board in a hot car or garage. Use a board sock or bag for transport to prevent scratches and protect the PLT Topsheet finish.
Binding Compatibility
The Mercury is a True Twin with inserts centered on the board — standard 4x2 or 2x4 mounting pattern, compatible with all major binding brands. The all-terrain medium flex and multi-radius sidecut pair well with medium-flex all-mountain bindings (like the Union Contact Pro, Burton Cartel, or NOW Drive). The True Twin shape means bindings should be mounted centered for balanced switch riding.
