The jacket features a waterproof, breathable Ventia™ 2L shell and VerticalX™ Eco synthetic insulation for a superior warmth-to-weight ratio. The helmet-compatible halo hood protects from the elements, and multiple hood adjustments and a brushed tricot chin guard ensure a comfortable fit. The powder skirt keeps snow out, and the forearm ski pass pocket and key clip are thoughtful design additions. Ventia™ 2L Waterproof Shell

A bluesign® approved Ventia™ 2-layer membrane with a 100% polyester (56% recycled) 75D x 150D plain weave mechanical-stretch face delivers fully waterproof, windproof, and breathable protection with the stretch needed for unrestricted turns, reaches, and pole plants on the mountain.

VerticalX™ Eco Insulation

A bluesign® approved 100% polyester (85% recycled) VerticalX™ Eco synthetic insulation—100 G/M² at the body and 80 G/M² at the sleeves and hood—delivers reliable warmth without bulk, with a balanced warmth-to-weight ratio for all-day resort comfort.

Snowsports Helmet-Compatible Halo Hood

A snowsports-specific helmet-compatible halo hood with multiple adjustments, a wire brim, and a hood lock keeps vision clear and the head dry in wind and snow, and cinches down securely when worn without a helmet.

Insulated Draft Collar

An insulated draft collar at the back of the neck seals in core warmth at the top of the zipper, eliminating the cold spot that lets heat escape during fast descents and chairlift rides.

Brushed Tricot Chin Guard

A soft brushed tricot chin guard at the front zipper prevents chafing on the chin and neck during long hood-up descents, and adds a layer of softness against bare skin when the jacket is zipped to the top.

Pit Zips for Ventilation

Underarm pit zips dump excess heat and moisture during high-output activity like skin tracks, bootpacks, and warm spring riding, without removing the jacket or other layers.

An insulated chest pocket extends phone battery life in cold weather, brushed-tricot lined hand pockets warm cold fingers, a forearm ski pass pocket with key clip keeps essentials accessible, an interior zip chest pocket with media port routes headphone cables, and a large internal mesh stash pocket holds gloves, a beanie, or goggles.

Adjustable Wrist Cuffs with Knit Gaiter

Adjustable outer wrist cuffs seal out snow and wind, while an internal knit gaiter seals the gap between the jacket cuff and the glove or mitt, keeping powder and cold air out of the sleeves.

Cleaning

Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle with a mild technical-gear or liquid detergent (e.g. Nikwax Tech Wash). Do not use bleach, fabric softener, or standard laundry soap, which can degrade the Ventia™ membrane, the DWR finish, and the VerticalX™ Eco insulation over time.

Drying

Tumble dry on low heat for 20–30 minutes to reactivate the DWR finish on the outer shell, or hang to air dry. Avoid high heat, which can damage the Ventia™ membrane, the YKK® Aquaguard® zipper coating, and the powder skirt snaps.

Seam Tape Inspection

Periodically inspect the seam tape for lifting, peeling, or damage, especially after hard trips in abrasive terrain. A small tube of seam-seal repair adhesive can re-bond loose tape in the field and prevent slow leaks at the stitching.

Zipper Care

YKK® Aquaguard® zippers last longest with occasional cleaning. Brush out debris with a soft toothbrush and fresh water, and rub a beeswax candle or graphite pencil along the teeth if a zipper starts to stick. Do not force a stuck zipper—work it back and forth gently to avoid breaking the coating.

Waterproofing Refresh

When the outer shell no longer sheds water, reproof with a spray-on DWR treatment compatible with Ventia™ membranes to restore water-shedding performance without compromising the membrane's breathability or the mechanical stretch.

Insulation Care

The VerticalX™ Eco insulation can lose loft if compressed for long periods. Hang the jacket on a wide hanger in a cool, dry place when not in use to maintain insulation performance across seasons.

Storage

Allow the jacket to dry fully before storing. Hang on a wide hanger in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight. Store away from rodents that may chew through the face fabric. Avoid keeping it compressed in a stuff sack for long periods.
