Backcast Sunglasses

The Backcast balances the glare-cutting polarized tech you need on the water with a look that fits everyday wear. Three ChromaPop lens technologies run from solid polarized through highly scratch-resistant glass polarized to PolarChromic, which pairs advanced polarization with UV-sensitive tint adjustment that adapts as the light changes over a long session on the water. Details like leash-compatible temples, spring hinges and a modest wrap elevate performance on and off the water.

Combines the glare-free benefits of advanced polarization with UV-sensitive, tint-adjusting technology, so a single lens handles shifting sun and shade over a full day on the water.

Rinsing Salt Water
After time on salt water, rinse the frames and lenses thoroughly with fresh water and dry with a soft cloth. Salt crystallizes in hinges, nose pads and the Evolve frame and will degrade the finish and grip over time if left to dry on the glass.
Cleaning
Clean with a clean microfiber cloth and a lens-specific cleaner. Never use paper towel, a shirt hem, or household glass cleaner — particulates and solvents will scratch the coating and haze the optics.
Glass Lens Care
Glass lens options are highly scratch-resistant but heavier and more rigid than standard lenses. Never seat them by force or flex the frame to fit — align the lens with the channel and let it lie flat.
Polarization and Screens
Polarized lenses darken many LCD and LED displays, so a fish finder, phone or marine display can go hard to read or appear blank. Check your electronics before committing to a polarized lens for a full day out.
PolarChromic Transition
PolarChromic lenses darken with UV exposure and take time to lighten again when you move into shade or a cabin. Expect the tint to lag the light change by a minute or two.
Frame and Fittings
Wipe nose pads and temple tips with a damp cloth to keep the non-slip Megol surface free of salt and grime. If grip fades, clean with isopropyl alcohol and a cotton swab to restore it.
Storage
Store in the microfiber pouch, or the supplied hard case on glass lens colorways, with the lenses facing inward and nothing resting against the surface. Avoid leaving glasses in a hot boat or dashboard, which can warp the frame and degrade PolarChromic lenses.

Components:

All component items (wheels, drivetrains, suspension, brakes, etc.) ship within 4-7 business days of purchase.

Bicycles:

Complete bikes typically ship within 2–3 weeks due to build, tuning, and inspection times. You will receive tracking information as soon as your order is ready to ship.

 Gear & Apparel:

Outdoor Gear and apparel orders (helmets, jerseys, gloves, etc.) ship within 5-21 business days. Please reach out to us with the most up to date deliveries times as they vary per Manufacturer. 

Returns & Exchanges:

If you received the wrong size or wish to exchange an item, it must be returned in original condition—unused, uninstalled, and with all packaging intact.
