Nuptse Traction Booties
Down Slipper · Unisex · 700-Fill Down · IcePick® Lugs · Après-Ready

With a nod to TNF's footwear of the past, the soft, light, and highly capable reengineered Nuptse Traction Booties are insulated with 700-fill down, designed for après (and beyond).

700-Fill Down Insulation
700-fill down delivers high-loft warmth in a soft, light package — traps body heat efficiently in cold cabin, lodge, and trail-camp settings where the booties are designed to perform.
Responsibly Sourced Down
All TNF down is either certified to the Responsible Down Standard (RDS) or recycled — supports humane animal welfare practices and reduces environmental impact compared to conventional down sourcing.
Polyester Ripstop Upper
Upper made with polyester ripstop — lightweight, abrasion-resistant, and soft against the foot, with the durability to handle après-ski wear and pack-down for travel.
Slipper-Style Fit
Slipper-style fit slips on and off easily — no laces, buckles, or adjustments, designed for relaxed wear around the cabin, RV, lodge, basecamp tent, and quick trips to the boot room.
High-Boot Cut
High-boot cut extends up the calf for full ankle and lower-leg coverage — traps warmth around the ankle where heat escapes most and provides the iconic Nuptse silhouette.
TNF™ DNA Design Elements
Has TNF™ DNA design elements including iconic colorblocking, puffy quilting, and bold branding — visually connected to the rest of the Nuptse line, with the recognizable puffy-baffle aesthetic from the iconic Nuptse jacket.
IcePick® Temperature-Sensitive Lugs
IcePick® temperature-sensitive rubber lugs for increased traction — stay flexible at room temperature for comfort on indoor surfaces, then harden when the temperature falls below freezing for biting grip on cold outdoor surfaces, ice, and snow.
Reengineered Outsole
Reengineered outsole has an updated lug shape for better traction — improved grip over previous Nuptse Traction Bootie versions, more secure footing on cold outdoor surfaces.
Versatile Après-and-Beyond Design
Designed for après (and beyond) — comfortable enough for indoor lounging, warm enough for cold outdoor wear, and grippy enough to step outside without slipping on icy surfaces.

Cleaning
Spot clean the polyester ripstop upper with a damp cloth and mild soap. For deeper cleaning, hand wash in cool water with a down-specific cleaner (Nikwax Down Wash or similar). Never machine wash or dry, which can damage the 700-fill down clusters, deform the IcePick® lugs, and stress the ripstop upper seams.
Drying
Air dry at room temperature with the booties opened up to allow air circulation. If the down gets wet, tumble dry on low heat with 2-3 clean tennis balls to break up down clumps and restore full loft. Never use direct heat (radiators, hair dryers, heaters), which can damage the ripstop fabric and degrade the down clusters.
Down Maintenance
If the down starts to clump or lose loft (typically after extended use or wet conditions), repeat the tumble-dry-with-tennis-balls process — the mechanical action restores down loft. Avoid fabric softeners which coat the down clusters and reduce thermal performance.
IcePick® Lug Care
IcePick® temperature-sensitive lugs are designed to harden in freezing temperatures — avoid exposing the booties to high heat (car trunks in summer, near heaters, dryers on high), which can permanently deform the temperature-sensitive rubber compound.
Sizing Note
Whole sizes only (4-14) — if you typically wear a half size, size up for a more comfortable slipper fit. The slipper-style construction has no lacing adjustment to fine-tune fit.
Storage
Store loosely in a large cotton or mesh storage sack (or just leave out in a closet). Never store compressed in a stuff sack or under heavy items — down loses loft permanently and won't recover warmth when re-fluffed. Keep clean before storing to prevent body oils from degrading the ripstop upper.
