The Cadet Mini is a single-size binding built for the smallest riders. The Extruded 3D Aluminum heelcup adjusts with growing feet — 5 settings extend the usable range as your rider's feet get bigger. Sized for kids transitioning out of toddler boots into their first real snowboard setup.
Component Breakdown
S5 Mini Duraflex Baseplate
The best youth baseplate available on the market today — Union's smallest, lightest baseplate. Asymmetrical shape reduces weight without sacrificing strength. Backed by Union's lifetime warranty.
Cadet XS Duraflex Highback
Designed with the smallest boots in mind — the Cadet XS Duraflex highback delivers the response and support tiny riders need without the bulk of larger bindings. Ready to take on any terrain: groomers, park, side hits, or powder.
Forma XS Ankle Strap
A real ankle strap for real mini shredders — padded comfort + control in a size that fits the smallest boots. The Forma XS is comfortable enough for all-day progression without pressure points.
TS 2.1 UltraGrip Toe Strap
Multi-positional options and thermoplastic anti-slip material keep young riders locked in and on point. Fits to any boot and holds through aggressive riding — Union's proven toe strap technology scaled down.
Aluminum S2 Ratchets w/ Steel Base
Fast in, fast out — Union's aluminum ratchets are easy to use and made to stand the test of time. The steel base adds durability for riders who crank down hard, while the aluminum keeps the binding lightweight.
Extruded 3D Aluminum Heelcup
5 settings allow you to adjust with growing feet. The aluminum heelcup is built to last multiple seasons as your rider grows, backed by Union's lifetime warranty. The 5-position adjustment is the key to getting more than one season out of a single Cadet Mini.
EXT Thermoformed EVA Bushing
Shock-absorbing EVA padding saves young heels and promotes a true and even board flex. The EXT (extra) Thermoformed bushing delivers additional dampening — easier on tiny knees during long days and rough snow.
Cam-Lock Forward Lean Adjuster
Quickly adjust the forward lean angle to suit the terrain in front of you — no tools required. Tool-less adjustment means parents can tune on the fly for groomers vs park without a screwdriver.
Grade 8.8 Steel Hardware
The strongest steel available on the market. Comes pre-installed so you can mount and ride without a hardware run to the shop. Grade 8.8 steel holds up to whatever young riders throw at it.
