Outdoor Research Women's Revolution GORE-TEX Mitts 2026

Premium Performance and Materials for Resort and Sidecountry Skiing and Riding — the Revolution GORE-TEX® Mitt is built for cold-weather pursuits, offering reliable performance for skiing, snowboarding, and alpine adventures in wet, windy, and variable conditions. A GORE-TEX® waterproof membrane seals out moisture while staying breathable for all-day comfort, and recycled EnduraLoft™ Eco insulation provides warmth without bulk. The AX Diamond Grip palm delivers durability and a confident grip on poles, bindings, and gear. Built for resort days, sidecountry missions, and everything in between.

Premium Performance and Materials
"Premium Performance and Materials for Resort and Sidecountry Skiing and Riding" — the Revolution GORE-TEX® Mitt is built for riders who demand the best in performance and materials. The combination of GORE-TEX® waterproofing, recycled insulation, premium palm materials, and thoughtful design details makes the Revolution a top-tier mitt for cold-weather pursuits.
GORE-TEX® Waterproof + Breathable
"A GORE-TEX® waterproof membrane seals out moisture while staying breathable for all-day comfort" — the GORE-TEX® membrane is the industry standard for waterproof/breathable performance. The membrane's microscopic pores are small enough to block water droplets (rain, snow) but large enough to allow perspiration vapor to escape, keeping hands dry from both external moisture and internal sweat. GORE-TEX® is the trusted choice for serious wet-weather performance.
Recycled EnduraLoft™ Eco Insulation
"Recycled EnduraLoft™ Eco insulation provides warmth without bulk" — the EnduraLoft™ Eco insulation uses recycled materials to provide the warmth the rider needs without the bulk of traditional insulation. The synthetic insulation retains warmth even when wet (unlike down), making it ideal for variable conditions where the mitt might get damp from snow or perspiration.
AX Diamond Grip Palm
"The AX Diamond Grip palm delivers durability and a confident grip on poles, bindings, and gear" — the AX Diamond Grip palm is a textured synthetic leather (or treated synthetic) that provides reliable grip and durability. The diamond pattern enhances grip when grabbing poles, binding straps, and gear, and the material is built to handle the abrasion of regular use on the mountain.
Cinchable Gauntlet
"A cinchable gauntlet" — the gauntlet-style cuff extends past the wrist to overlap with a jacket sleeve, sealing out snow and wind. The cinchable closure (typically a drawcord or hook-and-loop) allows the rider to tighten the gauntlet for a secure seal in deep snow or loosen it for breathability on milder days. Gauntlet cuffs are the standard for deep-powder and sidecountry use.
Ladder-Lock Wrist Cinch
"Ladder-lock wrist cinch" — the wrist cinch uses a ladder-lock buckle (a common, easy-to-use buckle style) for a secure, adjustable fit at the wrist. The ladder-lock design is intuitive and works with gloves on, allowing the rider to tighten or loosen the wrist without removing the mitt.
Removable Leash
"Removable leash" — the wrist leash keeps the mitt attached to the rider's wrist when they need to take it off (e.g., to adjust bindings, use a phone, or take photos). The removable design lets the rider detach the leash if they don't want it, or replace it if it wears out.
Built-in Heat Pack Pocket
"A built-in heat pack pocket adds extra warmth on frigid days" — the mitt has a dedicated pocket for disposable or rechargeable hand warmers. On the coldest days, adding a heat pack extends the warmth range of the mitt significantly, keeping hands functional even in extreme cold. The pocket is positioned for optimal warmth distribution on the back of the hand.
Touchscreen Compatibility
"Touchscreen compatibility lets you check your devices without exposing your hands to the cold" — the mitt has touchscreen-compatible material on the thumb and/or index finger, allowing the rider to use a phone or other touchscreen device without removing the mitt. This is a key feature for the modern rider who needs to check messages, take photos, or use a ski/snowboard app without exposing their hands to the cold.
Resort, Sidecountry, and Deep Powder
"Built for resort days, sidecountry missions, and deep powder days when the temps plummet well below freezing" — the Revolution GORE-TEX® Mitt is designed for the full range of mountain use, from groomed resort runs to sidecountry hikes to deep-powder descents. The GORE-TEX® membrane handles wet snow, the EnduraLoft™ Eco insulation handles cold temps, and the AX Diamond Grip palm handles pole work. Versatile enough for the entire winter season.
Outdoor Research Quality and Infinite Guarantee®
Built by Outdoor Research — a Seattle-based outdoor gear company with decades of experience in technical apparel — the Revolution GORE-TEX® Mitt is backed by OR's Infinite Guarantee® (lifetime guarantee against defects in materials and workmanship). The combination of GORE-TEX® waterproofing, premium insulation, and thoughtful design makes the Revolution a long-term investment for serious riders.

Sizing Method
Hand length (measure from the base of the palm to the tip of the middle finger)
Drying
Allow the Revolution GORE-TEX® Mitts to air dry at room temperature after use. Remove any snow or excess water from the interior, and stuff with newspaper or a dry towel to absorb moisture. Don't use direct heat (radiator, hair dryer, dryer) to dry the mitts — high heat can damage the GORE-TEX® membrane, the EnduraLoft™ insulation, and the palm material. The mitts should be completely dry before long-term storage to prevent mildew and odor.
Cleaning
Wipe down the exterior of the mitts with a damp cloth to remove dirt, salt, and debris. For tougher stains, hand wash in cold water with a mild technical fabric wash (like Nikwax Tech Wash or Grangers Performance Wash). Avoid harsh detergents, bleach, or fabric softeners, which can damage the GORE-TEX® membrane, the DWR treatment, and the insulation. Rinse thoroughly and allow to air dry.
DWR Refresh
The GORE-TEX® membrane has a DWR (Durable Water Repellent) treatment that helps water bead off the outer fabric. When water stops beading (the outer fabric "wets out" and water soaks in), refresh the DWR with a spray-on or wash-in product (like Nikwax TX.Direct or Grangers Performance Repel). Apply per the product instructions, then tumble dry on low heat or iron on low with a cloth barrier to activate the DWR.
Storage
Store the Revolution Mitts in a cool, dry place when not in use. Avoid leaving the mitts in direct sunlight for extended periods — UV exposure can degrade the GORE-TEX® membrane and the outer fabric over time. Don't store the mitts in a hot car — extreme heat can damage the membrane, insulation, and adhesives. Use a mitt clip or storage bag to keep the pair together.
Heat Pack Care
If using disposable hand warmers in the heat pack pocket, follow the hand warmer manufacturer's instructions for placement and removal. Don't leave used hand warmers in the pocket for extended periods after use — the chemicals can damage the pocket fabric over time. For rechargeable hand warmers, follow the manufacturer's charging and care instructions.
Repair
Small tears or holes can be repaired with a patch kit (like Tenacious Tape) or by an outdoor gear repair service. For GORE-TEX® membrane failures or seam tape issues, contact Outdoor Research for warranty service — the Infinite Guarantee® covers defects in materials and workmanship for the life of the product.
