Granite Glove

The Granite Glove features burly, durable materials and strategic design to create the perfect pair of full-grain leather belay and rappel gloves. Their highly dexterous design provides natural movement and fingerwork dexterity needed for long days on the wall. A durable goat leather palm with split suede overlays eliminates rope burn. Minimal seams on the fingertips deliver durability and a thoughtfully low-profile design that doesn't hinder or get in the way while climbing, belaying, or rappelling. Ideally suited for big wall missions and long belay sessions, the Granite Glove combines premium materials and technical construction to deliver an elite glove for jugging, hauling, and belaying.

Full-Grain Goat Leather
A full-grain goat leather shell and palm deliver the natural dexterity, supple hand feel, and proven durability that climbing belay and rappel gloves demand, withstanding thousands of feet of rope drag without wearing through.
Split Suede Palm Overlays
Cow split suede overlays on the palm eliminate rope burn on long belay sessions, big wall hauls, and repeated rappels, extending the life of the glove in the high-wear rope-drag zone.
Kevlar Stitching
Kevlar thread throughout the glove resists abrasion, cuts, and heat from rope friction far better than standard nylon or polyester thread, keeping the seams intact across seasons of hard climbing and rappelling.
Back-of-Hand Padding
Light padding across the back of the hand adds protection against rough rock, gear scraping, and the occasional cam hook in the knuckles during aggressive free climbing or hauling.
Minimal Fingertip Seams
A reduced-seam construction at the fingertips eliminates pressure points and seam wear during long belay sessions, while improving finger dexterity for knot tying, gear racking, and clip-in work.
Neoprene Cuff
A 100% neoprene cuff provides all-day comfort at the wrist without the bulk or binding of hook-and-loop closures, and seals in warmth without restricting circulation or getting in the way of a watch or compass.
Gusseted Wrist with Hook/Loop Closure
A gusseted wrist entry makes the glove easy to get on and off with cold or belay-gloved hands, and a hook-and-loop wrist closure dials in a secure, customized fit over a base layer or directly on the skin.
Harness/Carabiner Clip Loop
A reinforced harness/carabiner clip loop at the cuff lets you clip the gloves to your harness or a carabiner when you need bare fingers for knots, gear, or a tricky sequence, then unclip them when you need rope protection again.
Low-Profile Pull Loop
A subtle, low-profile pull loop at the cuff makes it easy to pull the gloves on with one hand, without the bulk of a hanging tab that catches on gear or a pack.

Leather Care
Wipe the leather palm and fingers with a damp cloth after each use to remove dirt, salt, and grime. Periodically treat the leather with a leather conditioner or waterproofing balm (e.g. Nikwax Waterproofing Wax for Leather) to maintain suppleness and water resistance across seasons of hard use.
Cleaning
Hand wash in cold water with a mild leather-specific or technical-gear cleaner. Do not machine wash, bleach, fabric softener, or standard laundry soap, which can strip the leather's natural oils, damage the Kevlar stitching, and degrade the suede palm overlays.
Drying
Air dry at room temperature away from direct heat and sunlight. Stuff the gloves loosely with paper towels or a clean dry cloth to absorb moisture and hold the shape of the fingers while drying. Do not tumble dry, wring, or dry on a radiator.
Waterproofing Refresh
Re-treat the leather palm annually with a leather-specific waterproofing wax to maintain water resistance during wet belay sessions, snow climbing, and rainy rappels.
Storage
Allow gloves to dry fully before storing. Keep flat or clipped to a carabiner in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight and away from heat sources. Store away from rodents that may chew through the leather.
