The outer material is made from 100% breathable Merino wool, and the rib knit at the wrist provides a snug and comfortable fit that helps to keep the warmth in. A 7-gauge 100% merino wool knit delivers natural warmth, breathability, and moisture management, with the soft, itch-free hand feel that merino is known for. Wool's natural temperature regulation keeps hands comfortable across a wide range of cool-weather activity.

Cleaning
Hand wash cold with a mild wool-specific detergent (e.g. Eucalan, Nikwax Wool Wash, or unscented dish soap). Do not machine wash, bleach, fabric softener, or standard laundry soap, which can felt the merino fibers, cause shrinkage, and degrade the natural stretch and softness of the knit.
Drying
Lay flat to air dry on a clean towel. Gently reshape while damp. Do not wring, tumble dry, or hang dry (which can stretch out the knit and distort the finger shape). Keep away from direct heat and sunlight.
Storage
Allow the gloves to dry fully before storing. Keep flat in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight. A small cedar block or lavender sachet helps deter moths during long-term wool storage.
Pilling Prevention
Merino wool may pill slightly with heavy use, especially in high-friction zones like the thumb crotch and fingertips. A fabric shaver or fine wool comb safely removes pilling and restores appearance. Washing inside-out and avoiding friction from backpack straps minimizes pilling over time.
