Binding Care
Wipe down the Lil Mini's baseplate, highback, and straps with a damp cloth after each day of riding to remove snow, ice, and debris. Keep the ratchets and ladders clear of snow for smooth operation. The Lil Mini's construction is designed to handle the rough use of learning riders, with simple maintenance to keep it performing.
Strap and Ratchet Care
The Lil Mini's straps and ratchets are designed for the small hands and limited dexterity of young riders — but inspect them periodically for wear. Keep the ratchets and ladders clear of snow and ice for smooth operation. The ladder straps can be replaced if they become worn or frayed. The simple design makes field adjustments and minor repairs easy.
Disc and Mounting Hardware
Check the mounting hardware (disc screws, baseplate screws) periodically to ensure they're tight. The Lil Mini's mounting disc is compatible with 4x4, 2x4, and Channel mounting systems (with appropriate inserts). If the disc becomes worn or damaged, replacement discs are available from K2.
Storage
Store the Lil Mini in a cool, dry place when not in use. Avoid leaving the bindings in direct sunlight for extended periods — UV exposure can degrade the plastics and straps over time. Keep the bindings in a bag or on a rack to protect them from dust and damage. If storing for an extended period, loosen the straps to prevent compression damage.
