K2 Waive Unisex Snowboard Boots 2027

Designed for the long haul, the K2 Waive snowboard boot is built for those long days in the skin track. Built for the loooong days in the skin track — a touring-focused boot designed to handle the demands of backcountry snowboarding. Whether you're skinning up a long approach, navigating technical terrain, or descending a steep line, the Waive is built to keep you comfortable and supported from the first skin track step to the last chairlift (or the last boot-pack to the summit).

Built for the Loooong Days in the Skin Track
"Built for the Loooong Days in the Skin Track" — the Waive is designed for the backcountry rider who spends long days earning their turns. The construction, weight, and fit are all tuned for skin track efficiency and all-day comfort, so the rider can focus on the line, not the feet.
Designed for the Long Haul
"Designed for the long haul" — the Waive is built for multi-hour tours and big backcountry days. The construction is durable enough to handle the demands of touring, but lightweight enough to keep the rider's legs fresh for the descent. Built for the rider who values endurance and reliability.
Touring-Focused Construction
The Waive is purpose-built for touring and backcountry riding. The construction includes features that make skinning easier — a more flexible upper for natural stride, a hike/ski mechanism for uphill efficiency, and a lighter overall weight than typical resort boots. Built for the rider who spends more time climbing than riding lifts.
All-Day Comfort
Long days in the backcountry demand a boot that can keep the rider comfortable from the first skin track step to the last descent. The Waive's liner, footbed, and overall fit are tuned for all-day wear, with the right balance of support and forgiveness to keep feet happy on long tours.
K2 Quality
Built by K2 — one of the most trusted names in snowboarding — the Waive reflects the company's commitment to innovation, quality, and backcountry progression. The touring-focused construction and backcountry-specific design make the Waive a staple of K2's splitboard and backcountry lineup.

Boot Care
Wipe down the Waive's upper and outsole with a damp cloth after each tour to remove snow, salt, and debris. The touring-focused construction may include specific materials (waterproof membranes, gaiters) that require gentle cleaning — avoid harsh detergents or solvents. Allow the boots to dry completely before storing — never force-dry with heat, which can damage the materials and the hike/ski mechanism.
Hike/Ski Mechanism
The hike/ski mechanism is the most important maintenance item on a touring boot — keep the mechanism clean of snow, ice, and debris, and lubricate the pivot points as recommended by K2. Test the mechanism before each tour to ensure it locks and unlocks smoothly. If the mechanism becomes damaged or stuck, contact K2 for service or replacement parts.
Liner and Footbed Care
Remove the liner and footbed periodically to air out the boot and prevent odor buildup. The liner can be hand-washed with mild soap and water (avoid harsh detergents) and allowed to air dry completely. The footbed can be cleaned with a damp cloth. If the liner loses its shape or support, replacement liners are available from K2.
Lacing and Hardware
Check the laces, lacing hardware, and any buckles or BOA dials periodically for wear. Replace laces as needed — frayed or broken laces can fail mid-tour. If the boot uses BOA dials, keep them clear of snow and ice, and replace batteries as needed. The lacing system is designed to be user-serviceable for field adjustments.
Storage
Store the Waive in a cool, dry place when not in use. Avoid leaving the boots in direct sunlight for extended periods — UV exposure can fade the materials and degrade the components. Keep the boots loosely laced (not tight) during long-term storage to maintain the upper's shape. Make sure the hike/ski mechanism is in the locked (ski) position during storage to prevent damage to the pivot points.
