From chasing sneaky hidden stashes deep in the trees to high-speed arcing on afternoon groomers, the last thing you want to worry about is protecting your head. The Diversion MIPS pairs K2's hybrid build with multi-directional impact protection so you can ride all day and trust the gear when things go sideways.

MIPS Brain Protection System
Mips is a brain protection system integrated into the helmet that can reduce rotational forces from angled impacts to the head. The low-friction layer allows the helmet to slide relative to the head during the critical first 10mm of impact, redirecting energy and reducing rotational motion transferred to the brain.
Hybrid Construction
This unique construction features the best of both In-Mold and Hard-Shell builds. The primary In-Mold construction makes the helmet incredibly light, while the secondary Hard-Shell upper adds durability where it counts and resists dings from sticks, rails, and chairlift racks.
Active Matrix + Passive Channel Venting
User-regulated Active Matrix venting combined with integrated Passive Channel venting lets you dial in airflow on the climb or close vents for storm days — airflow works with the heatsink in the goggle area.
360° K2Dialed™ Fit System
The 360° K2Dialed™ Fit System is an evolution of the original K2Dialed™ — an intricate web design delivers even pressure distribution around the entire head for unmatched comfort and a glove-like fit. Micro-adjustable on the fly.
Compression-Formed Liner
Compression-formed, precision-fit liner with removable ear pads and neck roll for a convertible, customizable fit. Strip the pads for a lighter spring setup or keep them for full storm coverage.
Convertible Design
Ability to easily remove ear pads for reduced bulk while retaining the fit system. The removable neck roll covers the gap on deep days or unzips for park laps and spring sessions.
Cycling Certified
Certified for cycling by the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) and the European Cycling Standard — grab the helmet for summer laps at the bike park without buying a second one.

Liner Cleaning
Remove the ear pads and neck roll and hand-wash the liner with mild soap and warm water. Air dry completely before reinstalling — trapped moisture causes odor and breaks down the EPS foam over time.
Shell Cleaning
Wipe the outer shell with a damp cloth and mild soap. Avoid solvents, petroleum-based cleaners, and aerosol sprays — they degrade the polycarbonate shell and can attack the MIPS layer.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat sources. UV and trunk heat degrade the shell glue and EPS over a season or two. A helmet bag protects the finish.
Replacement
Replace the helmet after any significant impact — even impacts that don't show visible damage can compress the EPS. Most manufacturers, K2 included, recommend replacement after 3-5 years of regular use even without a crash.

Returns & Exchanges:

If you received the wrong size or wish to exchange an item, it must be returned in original condition—unused, uninstalled, and with all packaging intact.

Measure your head circumference just above the ears and across the forehead with a soft tape measure. The Diversion MIPS runs in S, M, and L/XL to cover the full adult men's size range. The 360 K2Dialed fit system wraps the entire head for micro-adjustable pressure, so you can dial in the exact fit over a thin beanie on cold days or bare-headed on spring corn days.

MIPS Brain Protection
MIPS (Multi-Directional Impact Protection System) reduces rotational forces on the brain during angled impacts. The low-friction layer lets the helmet slide 10-15mm on impact, redirecting energy away from the head for measurable safety gains over standard EPS-only construction. Hybrid Construction
Hybrid shell construction combines a hard-shell lower portion with an in-mold upper portion for the best of both worlds — durability where you need it (the bottom edge takes the most abuse from falls and rail contact) and lightweight comfort where you want it (the top stays light and ventilated).
360 K2Dialed™ Fit
The 360 K2Dialed wraps the entire head with a single dial adjustment at the back of the helmet. Micro-adjustable on the fly with a gloved hand — loosen for the chairlift, tighten before dropping into a line. Even pressure distribution eliminates hot spots on long days.
Dual Active Matrix Venting
Dual Active Matrix vents let you regulate airflow from two separate zones (typically crown + brow) for fine-tuned climate control. Open them for spring shredding and boot-pack ascents, close them for storm days when you want to keep heat in. Tunable without stopping to adjust layers.
Snow + Bike Certified
Dual-certified for snow sports (ASTM F2040 / CE EN 1077) and bike (CPSC / EN 1078). One helmet covers the full year — park laps in winter, trail rides in summer, dirt jumps in shoulder seasons. Lower total cost of ownership for the rider who does everything.
