Medium Unisex Snowboard

The Medium by Jake Kuzyk, completely redesigned for modern freestyle snowboarding. K2 Snowboarding Pro Rider Jake Kuzyk is dedicated to the classics — a classic, round, twin, tip and tail, a classic (mostly) camber profile, and a predictable flex pattern. Working with Jake Kuzyk and Kennedi Deck, we focused on creating a tool with an all-inclusive sizing, flex pattern, and design aesthetic. The Medium starts at a 141 cm length and maxes out at 159 cm.

Jake Kuzyk Pro Model
"The Medium by Jake Kuzyk, completely redesigned for modern freestyle snowboarding" — Jake Kuzyk is a K2 Snowboarding Pro Rider with a reputation for classic freestyle, street-inspired riding. The Medium is built to Jake's specs for a true freestyle board that works for both park laps and street sessions. Kennedi Deck also contributed to the design.
Classic Camber Profile
"A classic (mostly) camber profile" — the Medium uses a predominantly camber profile (with subtle rocker zones) for the pop, snap, and edge hold that classic freestyle riding demands. The mostly-camber design gives Jake "all of the snap that he needs without the extra stiffness that he doesn't."
Carbon Backbone™ Stringer
"We worked alongside jake to engineer our new Carbon Backbone™, a pre-cambered carbon stringer that runs from tip to tail" — the new Carbon Backbone is a pre-cambered carbon stringer that adds snap and pop without the stiffness penalty of a full carbon layup. The result is a board that feels lively and responsive on presses and ollies without feeling overly stiff for buttering and jibbing.
Deep Sidecut + Wider Waist
"A deep sidecut between the feet and a smooth blend zone in the tip and tail make the medium feel more stable than in years past (wider waist width, yes!), but still nimble for those low-speed maneuvers in the streets" — the deep sidecut and wider waist width give the 2027 Medium more stability at speed while keeping the nimble street feel. The smooth blend zones in the tip and tail prevent the catchiness that deep sidecuts can cause.
Round Twin Tip and Tail
"A classic, round, twin, tip and tail" — the round twin shape is symmetrical for switch riding and park laps, with a round (not pointy) tip and tail that's inspired by classic freestyle board design. The round shape gives the Medium a surfy, playful feel that works for presses, butters, and street-inspired riding.
All-Inclusive Sizing
"We focused on creating a tool with an all-inclusive sizing, flex pattern, and design aesthetic" — the Medium is designed to work for a wide range of riders with the 141-159 cm length range covering most adult rider heights. Whether you're a smaller rider looking for a freestyle board that doesn't sacrifice stability, or a bigger rider who wants a true twin for park and street, the Medium has a size for you.

Sizing

Sizes Available
141, 144, 147, 150, 153, 156, 159 cm
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Keep it in a board bag or sleeve to protect the topsheet and base from scratches during transport — especially important for a park/street board that sees a lot of abuse.
Waxing
Wax every few riding days or any time the base looks dry, white, or slow. A regular wax schedule keeps the sintered base fast and prevents drying. Hot wax preferred for the deepest, fastest glide.
Edge Tuning
Sharpen edges with a file or stone when they feel dull, after hitting rails or rocks, or at the start of each season. For a freestyle-focused board, consider a slightly more detuned contact point setup for a less catchy feel on boxes and rails.
Repairs
Park and street riding will eventually leave marks — repair base scratches and core shots promptly to prevent water damage. Small dings can be filled with base repair candles, larger damage should go to a qualified tech. Inspect the edges regularly for any bends from rail slides.
Binding Mounting
The 2 x 4 insert pattern gives flexibility for stance width and setback. Mark center inserts for a centered true-twin setup (recommended for park and switch riding). The Medium is symmetrical so the same stance can be used in either direction.
