Base Care
Wax the Marauder base every 3-5 days of riding (or sooner if the base looks dry or white). Use a temperature-appropriate wax for the conditions. The splitboard base takes a lot of abuse from skin track contact and variable snow — regular waxing protects the base and keeps the board fast.
Skin Care
Allow the climbing skins to dry completely before storing. Keep the glue clean by storing skins on the provided backing sheets or in their storage bag. If the glue loses tackiness, you can refresh it with a skin glue reactivator. Replace skins when the fibers wear out and no longer grip efficiently.
Hardware Care
Check the splitboard hardware (clips, hooks, brackets) before each tour for wear or damage. Keep the connection points clean of snow, ice, and debris. The hardware is designed to be field-serviceable — carry a small multi-tool for adjustments. Inspect the interface between board halves for wear.
Storage
Store the Marauder in a cool, dry place when not in use. Keep the split halves together for long-term storage to maintain the interface shape. Store skins separately in a dry environment. Keep the base clean and waxed during long-term storage. The backcountry construction is built to last, but proper storage extends the life of the board, skins, and hardware.
